# CodexDashBoard Lightweight native dashboard for Codex on Linux. The goal is not to clone the existing Claude Code panel. This project keeps the surface small and stable: - recent Codex threads from `~/.codex/state_5.sqlite` - Codex-related processes - recent Codex logs - quick actions for resume, open folder, refresh, and safe process stop Current v0.2 scope is Codex-first. Unfinished Claude-specific views are not part of the shipped P0 UI. ## GUI System Dependencies On Ubuntu / Pop!_OS install the required GTK / GI development packages first: ```bash sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install -y \ libgirepository-2.0-dev \ gobject-introspection \ libgtk-3-dev \ libcairo2-dev \ pkg-config ``` ## Run ```bash cd /home/smlflg/Projekte/CodexDashBoard python3 -m pip install -e '.[gui]' python3 -m codex_dashboard ``` ## Test ```bash cd /home/smlflg/Projekte/CodexDashBoard python3 -m pip install -e '.[dev]' python3 -m pytest python3 -m compileall src tests ``` ## Install As User Service ```bash cp systemd/codex-dashboard.service ~/.config/systemd/user/ cp desktop/codex-dashboard.desktop ~/.local/share/applications/ systemctl --user daemon-reload systemctl --user enable --now codex-dashboard.service ``` The app logs to `~/.cache/codex-dashboard.log`.
