# Biomedical Informatics Group 🧬

We are a research group in the **School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh**, developing statistical and machine learning methods to better understand human disease.

Our research spans:

- **Multimodal and multi-omic learning** — integrating molecular and clinical data to understand disease and patient differences.
- **Biomedical language models** — extracting knowledge from scientific literature and clinical text, and exploring reliable clinical reasoning.
- **Graph and network methods** — connecting biological knowledge with patient data for interpretable analysis.

Our applications include cancer, Parkinson’s disease and genetic developmental disorders.

This Hugging Face organisation is a home for models, datasets and demos supporting our research.
