# SimamAlphaXR

Transparent video for XR: turn a rectangular video clip into a foreground
layer that can float naturally in an immersive scene.

This first release is a runnable compositor, not a claim that Wan-Alpha
weights are included. It creates an alpha matte from a green screen or a
contrastive background and encodes a real VP9 WebM with transparency. The
planned Wan-Alpha adapter will plug into the same frame/matte contract.

Outputs include transparent WebM, checkerboard preview MP4, alpha preview PNG,
and JSON diagnostics. Best results come from a static green, blue, or evenly
lit background and short clips.

## Local run

```bash
pip install -r requirements.txt
python app.py
```

`examples/sample_subject.mp4` is a small synthetic fixture for smoke testing
the alpha extraction and WebM export path.

Potential XR uses: virtual presenter, race engineer, driver introduction, pit
crew, sponsor character, tutorial guide, or AI commentator.
