# Licenses

Licenses apply by component, not to this repository as a whole.

- Model weights and tokenizer: the [Gemma Terms of Use](https://ai.google.dev/gemma/terms) and the Gemma Prohibited Use Policy, included as `GEMMA-TERMS.html` and `GEMMA-PROHIBITED-USE-POLICY.html` (see `NOTICE.txt`); `LICENSE.model` is the source's own reference to them. `MODEL-LICENSE.json` records where the source
  declares its license, and `README.source.md` is the source's model card. Conversion changes the
  weights' format, not their terms.
- The model library, the core geometry pack and drowse's changes to its runtime: AGPL-3.0-only,
  included as `LICENSE.drowse`. Upstream Apache TVM, MLC LLM and WebLLM keep their own licenses.

Gemma is provided under and subject to the Gemma Terms of Use found at ai.google.dev/gemma/terms.
