# Hub metrics for maintainers

Read the repository's download counts without fetching model weights:

```bash
python gpc-1/download.py counts
```

The command reads Hub metadata and reports `downloads` and, when available, `downloads_all_time`. It sends no tracking event.

[Hugging Face counts requests for query files](https://huggingface.co/docs/hub/models-download-stats); `config.json` is the default query file. Complete downloads through the CLI, Python, or CI normally request it. Counts are not unique users or verified installations. Offline copies and weights-only transfers may not be counted.
