TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USE, REPRODUCTION, AND DISTRIBUTION
|
| 7 |
+
|
| 8 |
+
1. Definitions.
|
| 9 |
+
|
| 10 |
+
"License" shall mean the terms and conditions for use, reproduction,
|
| 11 |
+
and distribution as defined by Sections 1 through 9 of this document.
|
| 12 |
+
|
| 13 |
+
"Licensor" shall mean the copyright owner or entity authorized by
|
| 14 |
+
the copyright owner that is granting the License.
|
| 15 |
+
|
| 16 |
+
"Legal Entity" shall mean the union of the acting entity and all
|
| 17 |
+
other entities that control, are controlled by, or are under common
|
| 18 |
+
control with that entity. For the purposes of this definition,
|
| 19 |
+
"control" means (i) the power, direct or indirect, to cause the
|
| 20 |
+
direction or management of such entity, whether by contract or
|
| 21 |
+
otherwise, or (ii) ownership of fifty percent (50%) or more of the
|
| 22 |
+
outstanding shares, or (iii) beneficial ownership of such entity.
|
| 23 |
+
|
| 24 |
+
"You" (or "Your") shall mean an individual or Legal Entity
|
| 25 |
+
exercising permissions granted by this License.
|
| 26 |
+
|
| 27 |
+
"Source" form shall mean the preferred form for making modifications,
|
| 28 |
+
including but not limited to software source code, documentation
|
| 29 |
+
source, and configuration files.
|
| 30 |
+
|
| 31 |
+
"Object" form shall mean any form resulting from mechanical
|
| 32 |
+
transformation or translation of a Source form, including but
|
| 33 |
+
not limited to compiled object code, generated documentation,
|
| 34 |
+
and conversions to other media types.
|
| 35 |
+
|
| 36 |
+
"Work" shall mean the work of authorship, whether in Source or
|
| 37 |
+
Object form, made available under the License, as indicated by a
|
| 38 |
+
copyright notice that is included in or attached to the work
|
| 39 |
+
(an example is provided in the Appendix below).
|
| 40 |
+
|
| 41 |
+
"Derivative Works" shall mean any work, whether in Source or Object
|
| 42 |
+
form, that is based on (or derived from) the Work and for which the
|
| 43 |
+
editorial revisions, annotations, elaborations, or other modifications
|
| 44 |
+
represent, as a whole, an original work of authorship. For the purposes
|
| 45 |
+
of this License, Derivative Works shall not include works that remain
|
| 46 |
+
separable from, or merely link (or bind by name) to the interfaces of,
|
| 47 |
+
the Work and Derivative Works thereof.
|
| 48 |
+
|
| 49 |
+
"Contribution" shall mean any work of authorship, including
|
| 50 |
+
the original version of the Work and any modifications or additions
|
| 51 |
+
to that Work or Derivative Works thereof, that is intentionally
|
| 52 |
+
submitted to Licensor for inclusion in the Work by the copyright owner
|
| 53 |
+
or by an individual or Legal Entity authorized to submit on behalf of
|
| 54 |
+
the copyright owner. For the purposes of this definition, "submitted"
|
| 55 |
+
means any form of electronic, verbal, or written communication sent
|
| 56 |
+
to the Licensor or its representatives, including but not limited to
|
| 57 |
+
communication on electronic mailing lists, source code control systems,
|
| 58 |
+
and issue tracking systems that are managed by, or on behalf of, the
|
| 59 |
+
Licensor for the purpose of discussing and improving the Work, but
|
| 60 |
+
excluding communication that is conspicuously marked or otherwise
|
| 61 |
+
designated in writing by the copyright owner as "Not a Contribution."
|
| 62 |
+
|
| 63 |
+
"Contributor" shall mean Licensor and any individual or Legal Entity
|
| 64 |
+
on behalf of whom a Contribution has been received by Licensor and
|
| 65 |
+
subsequently incorporated within the Work.
|
| 66 |
+
|
| 67 |
+
2. Grant of Copyright License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
|
| 68 |
+
this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
|
| 69 |
+
worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
|
| 70 |
+
copyright license to reproduce, prepare Derivative Works of,
|
| 71 |
+
publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute the
|
| 72 |
+
Work and such Derivative Works in Source or Object form.
|
| 73 |
+
|
| 74 |
+
3. Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
|
| 75 |
+
this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
|
| 76 |
+
worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
|
| 77 |
+
(except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made,
|
| 78 |
+
use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work,
|
| 79 |
+
where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable
|
| 80 |
+
by such Contributor that are necessarily infringed by their
|
| 81 |
+
Contribution(s) alone or by combination of their Contribution(s)
|
| 82 |
+
with the Work to which such Contribution(s) was submitted. If You
|
| 83 |
+
institute patent litigation against any entity (including a
|
| 84 |
+
cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that the Work
|
| 85 |
+
or a Contribution incorporated within the Work constitutes direct
|
| 86 |
+
or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses
|
| 87 |
+
granted to You under this License for that Work shall terminate
|
| 88 |
+
as of the date such litigation is filed.
|
| 89 |
+
|
| 90 |
+
4. Redistribution. You may reproduce and distribute copies of the
|
| 91 |
+
Work or Derivative Works thereof in any medium, with or without
|
| 92 |
+
modifications, and in Source or Object form, provided that You
|
| 93 |
+
meet the following conditions:
|
| 94 |
+
|
| 95 |
+
(a) You must give any other recipients of the Work or
|
| 96 |
+
Derivative Works a copy of this License; and
|
| 97 |
+
|
| 98 |
+
(b) You must cause any modified files to carry prominent notices
|
| 99 |
+
stating that You changed the files; and
|
| 100 |
+
|
| 101 |
+
(c) You must retain, in the Source form of any Derivative Works
|
| 102 |
+
that You distribute, all copyright, patent, trademark, and
|
| 103 |
+
attribution notices from the Source form of the Work,
|
| 104 |
+
excluding those notices that do not pertain to any part of
|
| 105 |
+
the Derivative Works; and
|
| 106 |
+
|
| 107 |
+
(d) If the Work includes a "NOTICE" text file as part of its
|
| 108 |
+
distribution, then any Derivative Works that You distribute must
|
| 109 |
+
include a readable copy of the attribution notices contained
|
| 110 |
+
within such NOTICE file, excluding those notices that do not
|
| 111 |
+
pertain to any part of the Derivative Works, in at least one
|
| 112 |
+
of the following places: within a NOTICE text file distributed
|
| 113 |
+
as part of the Derivative Works; within the Source form or
|
| 114 |
+
documentation, if provided along with the Derivative Works; or,
|
| 115 |
+
within a display generated by the Derivative Works, if and
|
| 116 |
+
wherever such third-party notices normally appear. The contents
|
| 117 |
+
of the NOTICE file are for informational purposes only and
|
| 118 |
+
do not modify the License. You may add Your own attribution
|
| 119 |
+
notices within Derivative Works that You distribute, alongside
|
| 120 |
+
or as an addendum to the NOTICE text from the Work, provided
|
| 121 |
+
that such additional attribution notices cannot be construed
|
| 122 |
+
as modifying the License.
|
| 123 |
+
|
| 124 |
+
You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and
|
| 125 |
+
may provide additional or different license terms and conditions
|
| 126 |
+
for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or
|
| 127 |
+
for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use,
|
| 128 |
+
reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with
|
| 129 |
+
the conditions stated in this License.
|
| 130 |
+
|
| 131 |
+
5. Submission of Contributions. Unless You explicitly state otherwise,
|
| 132 |
+
any Contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the Work
|
| 133 |
+
by You to the Licensor shall be under the terms and conditions of
|
| 134 |
+
this License, without any additional terms or conditions.
|
| 135 |
+
Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify
|
| 136 |
+
the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed
|
| 137 |
+
with Licensor regarding such Contributions.
|
| 138 |
+
|

# humanizer 12B — ROCmFPX GGUF
|
| 12 |
+
|
| 13 |
+
[jialinyyzz/humanizer](https://huggingface.co/jialinyyzz/humanizer) (v2) rewrites AI-written drafts in English and
|
| 14 |
+
Chinese so they read like a person wrote them, and keeps every number, date, name and quote. It is a fine-tune of
|
| 15 |
+
Gemma 4 12B. This repo has it in the [ROCmFPX](https://github.com/charlie12345/ROCmFPX) formats, a llama.cpp fork
|
| 16 |
+
with low-bit weight types for AMD GPUs (Vulkan and HIP/ROCm).
|
| 17 |
+
|
| 18 |
+
**Start with `humanizer-12b-Q8_0_ROCMFPX.gguf`** if it fits in your GPU memory: it is almost identical to the full
|
| 19 |
+
model. Take the 6-bit file next, and a 4-bit file when memory is tight.
|
| 20 |
+
|
| 21 |
+
> These files need [HarshaVardhan3002/ROCmFPX](https://github.com/HarshaVardhan3002/ROCmFPX), built from

> 23 October 2026 or later (they carry per-tensor scales, see below). Stock llama.cpp, LM Studio, Ollama and other
|
| 23 |
+
> ROCmFPX builds may not load them. **These files have not been tested on AMD hardware yet.**

## Files
|
| 30 |
+
|
| 31 |
+
| File | Size | KL to BF16 | Same top token | |
|
| 32 |
+
|---|---:|---:|---:|---|
|
| 33 |
+
| `humanizer-12b-Q8_0_ROCMFPX.gguf` | 12.3 GB | 0.00024 | 99.3% | 8-bit, closest to the full model |
|
| 34 |
+
| `humanizer-12b-Q6_K_ROCMFPX.gguf` | 9.8 GB | 0.0023 | 97.8% | 6-bit (ROCmFPX `Q6_0_ROCMFPX` weights, see below) |
|
| 35 |
+
| `humanizer-12b-Q4_0_ROCMFP4_STRIX.gguf` | 6.7 GB | 0.040 | 91.9% | recommended 4-bit (Strix Halo recipe) |
|
| 36 |
+
| `humanizer-12b-Q4_0_ROCMFP4_FAST.gguf` | 6.3 GB | 0.047 | 90.8% | smallest, speed-first 4-bit |
|
| 37 |
+
|
| 38 |
+
Stock llama.cpp builds of this model, measured the same way:
|
| 39 |
+
|
| 40 |
+
| Stock file | Size | KL to BF16 | Same top token |
|
| 41 |
+
|---|---:|---:|---:|
|
| 42 |
+
| Q8_0 | 12.7 GB | 0.00064 | 98.8% |
|
| 43 |
+
| Q6_K | 10.0 GB | 0.0026 | 97.8% |
|
| 44 |
+
| Q4_K_M | 7.4 GB | 0.0186 | 94.1% |
|
| 45 |
+
|
| 46 |
+
The 8-bit file here is closer to BF16 than a stock Q8_0, and the 6-bit file matches a stock Q6_K; both are a
|
| 47 |
+
little smaller. At 4-bit, a stock Q4_K_M (or the authors' quantization-aware Q4_K_M) stays closer to the full model than the ROCmFP4
|
| 48 |
+
files here. The ROCmFP4 files are smaller and are meant for speed on AMD GPUs.
|
| 49 |
+
|
| 50 |
+
**How this was measured:** llama.cpp `llama-perplexity --kl-divergence` against the authors' BF16 file, 40 chunks of
|
| 51 |
+
512 tokens of English Wikipedia text (wikitext-2), run on a GPU after expanding each file to F16 (the expansion is
|
| 52 |
+
exact). KL is how far the file's next-token probabilities drift from BF16, averaged over every token; lower is better.
|
| 53 |
+
"Same top token" is how often the file's most likely next token is the same as BF16's. This is general text, not
|
| 54 |
+
rewriting text; the authors measured their files on held-out rewriting data, and their stock Q4_K_M (KL 0.021) is
|
| 55 |
+
close to what this test gives (0.0186).
|
| 56 |
+
|
| 57 |
+
Every file also passed a rewrite check: a test draft with five facts (a date, a count, a name, a year and an amount),
|
| 58 |
+
greedy decoding on the CPU. All five facts came through in every file.
|
| 59 |
+
|
| 60 |
+
The 6-bit file is named `humanizer-12b-Q6_K_ROCMFPX.gguf` so that Hugging Face lists it as a 6-bit quant. Its weights
|
| 61 |
+
are the ROCmFPX `Q6_0_ROCMFPX` type, not a stock llama.cpp `Q6_K`, and it needs the same fork as the other files.
|
| 62 |
+
|
| 63 |
+
## Why these files carry tensor scales
|
| 64 |
+
|
| 65 |
+
ROCmFPX stores one scale for each block of weights as an 8-bit float (UE4M3) whose smallest step is 2^-10. This
|
| 66 |
+
model's weights are small (the largest value in a typical block of 32 is about 0.02 to 0.04), so an 8-bit ROCmFPX
|
| 67 |
+
file cannot pick small enough scales: almost every block gets stuck at the smallest scale, and the file is about as
|
| 68 |
+
precise as a 6-bit one. These files multiply each weight matrix by a power of two (2^7 to 2^10) before quantizing and store
|
| 69 |
+
the inverse as `<name>.scale`, which the fork multiplies back after the matrix product. The shared embedding and
|
| 70 |
+
output matrix cannot take such a scale, so it uses a stock llama.cpp type: Q8_0 in the 8-bit file, Q6_K in the 6-bit
|
| 71 |
+
and STRIX files (the FAST file keeps it in ROCmFP4 for speed).
|
| 72 |
+
|
| 73 |
+
| KL to BF16 | Plain ROCmFPX | With tensor scales |
|
| 74 |
+
|---|---:|---:|
|
| 75 |
+
| 8-bit | 0.0112 | 0.00024 |
|
| 76 |
+
| 6-bit | 0.0080 | 0.0023 |
|
| 77 |
+
| 4-bit STRIX | 0.053 | 0.040 |
|
| 78 |
+
| 4-bit FAST | 0.064 | 0.047 |
|
| 79 |
+
|
| 80 |
+
## How these were made
|
| 81 |
+
|
| 82 |
+
1. Source: the authors' BF16 GGUF (`humanizer-12b-bf16.gguf` from
|
| 83 |
+
[jialinyyzz/humanizer-GGUF](https://huggingface.co/jialinyyzz/humanizer-GGUF)), sha256 checked against their card.
|
| 84 |
+
2. Importance matrix from the BF16 file over a general calibration text (`calibration_datav3`), 512-token chunks.
|
| 85 |
+
The authors used their own rewriting data for theirs.
|
| 86 |
+
3. `llama-quantize --imatrix` from the BF16 file with `LLAMA_ROCMFPX_TENSOR_SCALE=1`, one run per type, from
|
| 87 |
+
[HarshaVardhan3002/ROCmFPX](https://github.com/HarshaVardhan3002/ROCmFPX); `--token-embedding-type q8_0` for the
|
| 88 |
+
8-bit file and `q6_K` for the 6-bit file.
|
| 89 |
+
|
| 90 |
+
The only change from the original is the weight quantization. The tokenizer, the chat template and the stored sampling
|
| 91 |
+
defaults come unchanged from the authors' GGUF.
|
| 92 |
+
|
| 93 |
+
## Run
|
| 94 |
+
|
| 95 |
+
```bash
|
| 96 |
+
git clone https://github.com/HarshaVardhan3002/ROCmFPX && cd ROCmFPX
|
| 97 |
+
cmake -B build -DGGML_VULKAN=ON # or -DGGML_HIP=ON -DAMDGPU_TARGETS=gfx1151 (gfx1100 for RX 7900)
|
| 98 |
+
cmake --build build --target llama-server -j
|
| 99 |
+
build/bin/llama-server -m humanizer-12b-Q8_0_ROCMFPX.gguf -ngl 999 -c 8192 -np 1 --jinja
|
| 100 |
+
```
|
| 101 |
+
|
| 102 |
+
The model does text completion, not chat. The prompt is the instruction from `prompt_format.json`, a blank line, your
|
| 103 |
+
draft, then `\n\n### Rewritten:\n\n`. Sample with temperature 1.0, top-p 0.95, top-k 0, min-p 0 and repeat penalty 1.0,
|
| 104 |
+
and stop at the end-of-sequence token only.
|
| 105 |
+
|
| 106 |
+
```python
|
| 107 |
+
import json, urllib.request
|
| 108 |
+
|
| 109 |
+
pf = json.load(open("prompt_format.json", encoding="utf-8"))
|
| 110 |
+
|
| 111 |
+
def humanize(draft, url="http://127.0.0.1:8080"):
|
| 112 |
+
body = {"prompt": pf["instr"] + "\n\n" + draft.strip() + pf["sep"],
|
| 113 |
+
"temperature": 1.0, "top_p": 0.95, "top_k": 0, "min_p": 0,
|
| 114 |
+
"repeat_penalty": 1.0, "n_predict": 2048}
|
| 115 |
+
req = urllib.request.Request(url + "/completion", json.dumps(body).encode("utf-8"),
|
| 116 |
+
{"Content-Type": "application/json"})
|
| 117 |
+
with urllib.request.urlopen(req, timeout=900) as r:
|
| 118 |
+
return json.load(r)["content"].strip()
|
| 119 |
+
|
| 120 |
+
print(humanize(open("draft.txt", encoding="utf-8").read()))
|
| 121 |
+
```
|
| 122 |
+
|
| 123 |
+
The chat template in each file builds the same prompt from the last user message, so `/v1/chat/completions` with one
|
| 124 |
+
draft per message also works. Keep instruction, draft and rewrite within 8,192 tokens and split long documents at
|
| 125 |
+
paragraph breaks. The authors note that a short, informal English draft occasionally comes back in Chinese; sample
|
| 126 |
+
again when that happens. Their [usage guide](https://github.com/sgaofen/humanizer-local-model/blob/main/docs/USAGE.md)
|
| 127 |
+
has more. Their desktop app runs stock llama.cpp with their own files, not these.
