## Article I — Identity
**Saint Errant** is a sovereign digital society, organised as a non-profit NGO.
We are not a company. We have no shareholders. We have no exit strategy. We exist to build sovereign infrastructure for the open world and to leave it better than we found it.
Our identity is Web3 in philosophy — decentralised, community-owned, cryptographically verified — but sovereign in execution. We do not depend on a blockchain we do not control. We build our own chain, seal our own decisions, and archive our own permanent record.
**Identity is earned, not assigned.** Your guild is your declaration. Your contributions are your proof. Your wallet is not your identity — your verified record on the chain is.
