# ERA5→CONUS404 Diffusion Downscaling — Checkpoint Archive

This repo holds a flat archive of checkpoints for the three-stage "Latent
CorrDiff" downscaling pipeline (DRN → VAE → latent diffusion; see the repo
README/`docs/ARCHITECTURE.md` for the full model description).

**For the current, most up-to-date diffusion checkpoint, use
[mudhil/era5-conus404-diffusion-downscaling](https://huggingface.co/mudhil/era5-conus404-diffusion-downscaling)
instead** — this repo's `diffusion_best.pt`/`diffusion_latest.pt` are an
older diffusion checkpoint (confirmed by sha256, different from the current
local weights). The DRN and VAE files in this repo *are* current.
