# Cue helper runtime

This repository hosts the helper runtime for [Cue](https://github.com/savourylie/iina-cue), an IINA plugin that makes subtitles on your Mac. The Cue plugin downloads this archive during first-run setup. You do not need to download it yourself.

- `runtime-<version>.tar.xz`: a relocatable Python 3.12 runtime with Cue's helper, MLX, and a static LGPL FFmpeg build. Every Mach-O file is signed with a Developer ID and the archive's contents are notarized by Apple.
- `runtime-<version>.manifest.json`: version, size, SHA-256, minimum macOS, and the notarization ID.

Requirements: an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 14.0 or later.

The plugin pins a commit of this repository and checks the archive's SHA-256 before it unpacks anything. The same archives are also published as GitHub Releases on `savourylie/iina-cue`.

## Licenses

The archive bundles third-party software under several licenses, including FFmpeg under LGPL-2.1-or-later. The full notices and license texts are inside the archive, in `licenses/THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md`. Cue's source code is at https://github.com/savourylie/iina-cue.

The speech models are not in this repository. Cue downloads them from their own Hugging Face repositories.
