Gaussian RBFNet: Gaussian Radial Basis Functions for Fast and Accurate Representation and Reconstruction of Neural Fields

Neural fields such as DeepSDF and Neural Radiance Fields have recently revolutionized novel-view synthesis and 3D reconstruction from RGB images and videos. However, achieving high-quality representation, reconstruction, and rendering requires deep neural networks, which are slow to train and evaluate. Although several acceleration techniques have been proposed, they often trade off speed for memory. Gaussian splatting-based methods, on the other hand, accelerate the rendering time but remain costly in terms of training speed and memory needed to store the parameters of a large number of Gaussians. In this paper, we introduce a novel neural representation that is fast, both at training and inference times, and lightweight. Our key observation is that the neurons used in traditional MLPs perform simple computations (a dot product followed by ReLU activation) and thus one needs to use either wide and deep MLPs or high-resolution and high-dimensional feature grids to parameterize complex nonlinear functions. We show in this paper that by replacing traditional neurons with Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernels, one can achieve highly accurate representation of 2D (RGB images), 3D (geometry), and 5D (radiance fields) signals with just a single layer of such neurons. The representation is highly parallelizable, operates on low-resolution feature grids, and is compact and memory-efficient. We demonstrate that the proposed novel representation can be trained for 3D geometry representation in less than 15 seconds and for novel view synthesis in less than 15 mins. At runtime, it can synthesize novel views at more than 60 fps without sacrificing quality.

GeoDrive: 3D Geometry-Informed Driving World Model with Precise Action Control

Recent advancements in world models have revolutionized dynamic environment simulation, allowing systems to foresee future states and assess potential actions. In autonomous driving, these capabilities help vehicles anticipate the behavior of other road users, perform risk-aware planning, accelerate training in simulation, and adapt to novel scenarios, thereby enhancing safety and reliability. Current approaches exhibit deficiencies in maintaining robust 3D geometric consistency or accumulating artifacts during occlusion handling, both critical for reliable safety assessment in autonomous navigation tasks. To address this, we introduce GeoDrive, which explicitly integrates robust 3D geometry conditions into driving world models to enhance spatial understanding and action controllability. Specifically, we first extract a 3D representation from the input frame and then obtain its 2D rendering based on the user-specified ego-car trajectory. To enable dynamic modeling, we propose a dynamic editing module during training to enhance the renderings by editing the positions of the vehicles. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method significantly outperforms existing models in both action accuracy and 3D spatial awareness, leading to more realistic, adaptable, and reliable scene modeling for safer autonomous driving. Additionally, our model can generalize to novel trajectories and offers interactive scene editing capabilities, such as object editing and object trajectory control.

Lift3D-VLA: Lifting VLA Models to 3D Geometry and Dynamics-Aware Manipulation

Recently, Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models have demonstrated strong generalization across diverse tasks. However, effective robotic manipulation in physical environments fundamentally requires geometric understanding and spatial reasoning. While some VLA approaches attempt to incorporate 3D information, they are constrained by limited data availability and geometric information loss in current 3D encoding pipelines, and fail to jointly capture 3D geometry and temporally structured actions in dynamic environments. To address these limitations, we introduce Lift3D-VLA, a unified VLA framework that equips models with explicit 3D point cloud reasoning and enables temporally coherent action generation. First, building upon our previous work Lift3D, an enhanced 2D model-lifting strategy is proposed to geometrically align 3D points with pretrained 2D positional embeddings. This design enables direct point-cloud encoding within the VLA vision encoder while minimizing spatial information loss. Based on explicit 3D inputs, we propose Geometry-Centric Masked Autoencoding (GC-MAE), a dual-objective self-supervised framework that reconstructs the current point cloud while predicting its future geometric evolution. This formulation allows the 2D vision encoder to internalize both 3D structure and physical dynamics. To fully exploit 3D representations, we further design layer-wise temporal action modeling, which leverages multiple layers of the LLM to collaboratively predict action chunks, enabling temporally consistent predictions. Across 22 simulated tasks and 8 real-world manipulation tasks, Lift3D-VLA achieves 10.8% and 11.1% higher mean success rates on MetaWorld and RLBench than the best-performing prior VLA methods, and outperforms the strongest real-world baseline by 4 percentage points, while exhibiting stronger generalization to out-of-distribution perturbations.

MatSpray: Fusing 2D Material World Knowledge on 3D Geometry

Manual modeling of material parameters and 3D geometry is a time consuming yet essential task in the gaming and film industries. While recent advances in 3D reconstruction have enabled accurate approximations of scene geometry and appearance, these methods often fall short in relighting scenarios due to the lack of precise, spatially varying material parameters. At the same time, diffusion models operating on 2D images have shown strong performance in predicting physically based rendering (PBR) properties such as albedo, roughness, and metallicity. However, transferring these 2D material maps onto reconstructed 3D geometry remains a significant challenge. We propose a framework for fusing 2D material data into 3D geometry using a combination of novel learning-based and projection-based approaches. We begin by reconstructing scene geometry via Gaussian Splatting. From the input images, a diffusion model generates 2D maps for albedo, roughness, and metallic parameters. Any existing diffusion model that can convert images or videos to PBR materials can be applied. The predictions are further integrated into the 3D representation either by optimizing an image-based loss or by directly projecting the material parameters onto the Gaussians using Gaussian ray tracing. To enhance fine-scale accuracy and multi-view consistency, we further introduce a light-weight neural refinement step (Neural Merger), which takes ray-traced material features as input and produces detailed adjustments. Our results demonstrate that the proposed methods outperform existing techniques in both quantitative metrics and perceived visual realism. This enables more accurate, relightable, and photorealistic renderings from reconstructed scenes, significantly improving the realism and efficiency of asset creation workflows in content production pipelines.

Garment Particles: A 2D--3D Symmetric Garment Representation for Generation and Editing

Practical garment design spans two modes: intuitive creation from high-level intent, such as a reference image or text description, and complex low-level editing across 2D sewing patterns and 3D draped geometry, which requires professional training to navigate their complex interdependencies. Yet existing frameworks address only part of this challenge, offering either garment generation from casual inputs or direct editing on sewing patterns. To support both ends of the spectrum, we propose Garment Particles, a 5D point-cloud representation that jointly encodes 2D sewing patterns and 3D geometry. This representation enables Garment Particles Flow (GPF), a rectified flow framework that supports intuitive generation from high-level inputs (text, images, sketches) and various editing operations on 2D sewing patterns and 3D geometries via diffusion posterior sampling. Finally, we introduce Particles-to-Pattern Flow that converts generated garment particles into curved-based patterns for simulation. We validate our model's generation ability on multiple datasets, achieving state-of-the-art garment generation results against competitive baselines. Our model also enables many garment editing scenarios, including garment interpolation, sewing pattern editing, point-cloud- and silhouette-conditioned garment generation. Dens3R: A Foundation Model for 3D Geometry Prediction

Recent advances in dense 3D reconstruction have led to significant progress, yet achieving accurate unified geometric prediction remains a major challenge. Most existing methods are limited to predicting a single geometry quantity from input images. However, geometric quantities such as depth, surface normals, and point maps are inherently correlated, and estimating them in isolation often fails to ensure consistency, thereby limiting both accuracy and practical applicability. This motivates us to explore a unified framework that explicitly models the structural coupling among different geometric properties to enable joint regression. In this paper, we present Dens3R, a 3D foundation model designed for joint geometric dense prediction and adaptable to a wide range of downstream tasks. Dens3R adopts a two-stage training framework to progressively build a pointmap representation that is both generalizable and intrinsically invariant. Specifically, we design a lightweight shared encoder-decoder backbone and introduce position-interpolated rotary positional encoding to maintain expressive power while enhancing robustness to high-resolution inputs. By integrating image-pair matching features with intrinsic invariance modeling, Dens3R accurately regresses multiple geometric quantities such as surface normals and depth, achieving consistent geometry perception from single-view to multi-view inputs. Additionally, we propose a post-processing pipeline that supports geometrically consistent multi-view inference. Extensive experiments demonstrate the superior performance of Dens3R across various dense 3D prediction tasks and highlight its potential for broader applications.

GVGEN: Text-to-3D Generation with Volumetric Representation

In recent years, 3D Gaussian splatting has emerged as a powerful technique for 3D reconstruction and generation, known for its fast and high-quality rendering capabilities. To address these shortcomings, this paper introduces a novel diffusion-based framework, GVGEN, designed to efficiently generate 3D Gaussian representations from text input. We propose two innovative techniques:(1) Structured Volumetric Representation. We first arrange disorganized 3D Gaussian points as a structured form GaussianVolume. This transformation allows the capture of intricate texture details within a volume composed of a fixed number of Gaussians. To better optimize the representation of these details, we propose a unique pruning and densifying method named the Candidate Pool Strategy, enhancing detail fidelity through selective optimization. (2) Coarse-to-fine Generation Pipeline. To simplify the generation of GaussianVolume and empower the model to generate instances with detailed 3D geometry, we propose a coarse-to-fine pipeline. It initially constructs a basic geometric structure, followed by the prediction of complete Gaussian attributes. Our framework, GVGEN, demonstrates superior performance in qualitative and quantitative assessments compared to existing 3D generation methods. Simultaneously, it maintains a fast generation speed (sim7 seconds), effectively striking a balance between quality and efficiency.

PhysAlign: Physics-Coherent Image-to-Video Generation through Feature and 3D Representation Alignment

Video Diffusion Models (VDMs) offer a promising approach for simulating dynamic scenes and environments, with broad applications in robotics and media generation. However, existing models often generate temporally incoherent content that violates basic physical intuition, significantly limiting their practical applicability. We propose PhysAlign, an efficient framework for physics-coherent image-to-video (I2V) generation that explicitly addresses this limitation. To overcome the critical scarcity of physics-annotated videos, we first construct a fully controllable synthetic data generation pipeline based on rigid-body simulation, yielding a highly-curated dataset with accurate, fine-grained physics and 3D annotations. Leveraging this data, PhysAlign constructs a unified physical latent space by coupling explicit 3D geometry constraints with a Gram-based spatio-temporal relational alignment that extracts kinematic priors from video foundation models. Extensive experiments demonstrate that PhysAlign significantly outperforms existing VDMs on tasks requiring complex physical reasoning and temporal stability, without compromising zero-shot visual quality. PhysAlign shows the potential to bridge the gap between raw visual synthesis and rigid-body kinematics, establishing a practical paradigm for genuinely physics-grounded video generation. DreamDance: Animating Human Images by Enriching 3D Geometry Cues from 2D Poses

In this work, we present DreamDance, a novel method for animating human images using only skeleton pose sequences as conditional inputs. Existing approaches struggle with generating coherent, high-quality content in an efficient and user-friendly manner. Concretely, baseline methods relying on only 2D pose guidance lack the cues of 3D information, leading to suboptimal results, while methods using 3D representation as guidance achieve higher quality but involve a cumbersome and time-intensive process. To address these limitations, DreamDance enriches 3D geometry cues from 2D poses by introducing an efficient diffusion model, enabling high-quality human image animation with various guidance. Our key insight is that human images naturally exhibit multiple levels of correlation, progressing from coarse skeleton poses to fine-grained geometry cues, and further from these geometry cues to explicit appearance details. Capturing such correlations could enrich the guidance signals, facilitating intra-frame coherency and inter-frame consistency. Specifically, we construct the TikTok-Dance5K dataset, comprising 5K high-quality dance videos with detailed frame annotations, including human pose, depth, and normal maps. Next, we introduce a Mutually Aligned Geometry Diffusion Model to generate fine-grained depth and normal maps for enriched guidance. Finally, a Cross-domain Controller incorporates multi-level guidance to animate human images effectively with a video diffusion model. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance in animating human images.

GeoWizard: Unleashing the Diffusion Priors for 3D Geometry Estimation from a Single Image

We introduce GeoWizard, a new generative foundation model designed for estimating geometric attributes, e.g., depth and normals, from single images. While significant research has already been conducted in this area, the progress has been substantially limited by the low diversity and poor quality of publicly available datasets. As a result, the prior works either are constrained to limited scenarios or suffer from the inability to capture geometric details. In this paper, we demonstrate that generative models, as opposed to traditional discriminative models (e.g., CNNs and Transformers), can effectively address the inherently ill-posed problem. We further show that leveraging diffusion priors can markedly improve generalization, detail preservation, and efficiency in resource usage. Specifically, we extend the original stable diffusion model to jointly predict depth and normal, allowing mutual information exchange and high consistency between the two representations. More importantly, we propose a simple yet effective strategy to segregate the complex data distribution of various scenes into distinct sub-distributions. This strategy enables our model to recognize different scene layouts, capturing 3D geometry with remarkable fidelity. GeoWizard sets new benchmarks for zero-shot depth and normal prediction, significantly enhancing many downstream applications such as 3D reconstruction, 2D content creation, and novel viewpoint synthesis.

Qwen-3D: A Generalist 3D Vision-Language Model for Spatial Understanding

Large Multimodal Models (LMMs) have achieved remarkable success on images and short videos, yet scaling them to long videos remains challenging due to frame-centric tokenization and limited context windows. 3D geometry provides a natural compression mechanism for visual streams: depth and camera pose enable observations from multiple views and time steps to be fused into a persistent, world-aligned representation. While recent 3D LMMs leverage geometry-aware representations to improve spatial reasoning, they continue to lag behind specialist 3D perception systems on grounding and segmentation tasks. We argue that a key limitation is geometry-aware decoding: existing methods communicate 3D predictions through language tokens, proposal selection, or lightweight grounding queries, creating a bottleneck between language reasoning and dense geometric prediction. Building on these insights, we introduce Qwen-3D, a geometry-aware LMM that compresses visual information within the Qwen backbone using multi-view geometric cues, enabling efficient long-horizon visual reasoning over static scenes. Qwen-3D augments visual tokens with 3D Rotary Positional Embeddings, allowing attention to operate directly in 3D scene space rather than across independent image frames and thereby facilitating scalable cross-view and temporal reasoning. To bridge language and geometry, Qwen-3D incorporates a query-based segmentation decoder that grounds language directly in the underlying 3D scene representation, unifying referential grounding, instance segmentation, and visual question answering across both images and videos. Across a diverse set of benchmarks, Qwen-3D surpasses existing 3D LMMs and outperforms several large proprietary 2D models. Notably, Qwen-3D achieves these improvements while maintaining strong performance on standard 2D vision-language benchmarks by jointly training on 2D and 3D data.

World Tracing: Generative Pixel-Aligned Geometry Beyond the Visible

Image-to-3D methods often trade off faithfulness and completeness: depth estimators are anchored to input pixels but stop at the visible surface, while image-to-3D models generate complete shapes that are often misaligned with the input. We introduce World Tracing, a generative pixel-aligned geometry representation that predicts 3D points aligned with observed pixels while completing geometry beyond the visible surface. For each input pixel, World Tracing predicts an ordered stack of camera-space 3D points, where the first layer represents the visible surface and subsequent layers represent front-to-back intersections with occluded surfaces. We instantiate this representation with a world-tracing diffusion transformer, WT-DiT, which treats multiple geometry layers as separate denoising tokens coupled through factorized and global attention. WT-DiT is trained with pixel-space flow matching and a mixed noise schedule that balances visible-surface reconstruction with occluded-geometry generation. World Tracing achieves strong performance on visible-surface reconstruction and complete geometry generation across object, scene, and dynamic benchmarks, outperforming both depth predictors and image-to-3D generators. It also preserves 2D-to-3D correspondence, enabling text-driven 3D scene editing, geometry-conditioned novel-view video synthesis, and training-free integration with textured-mesh generators.

PSAvatar: A Point-based Morphable Shape Model for Real-Time Head Avatar Animation with 3D Gaussian Splatting

Despite much progress, achieving real-time high-fidelity head avatar animation is still difficult and existing methods have to trade-off between speed and quality. 3DMM based methods often fail to model non-facial structures such as eyeglasses and hairstyles, while neural implicit models suffer from deformation inflexibility and rendering inefficiency. Although 3D Gaussian has been demonstrated to possess promising capability for geometry representation and radiance field reconstruction, applying 3D Gaussian in head avatar creation remains a major challenge since it is difficult for 3D Gaussian to model the head shape variations caused by changing poses and expressions. In this paper, we introduce PSAvatar, a novel framework for animatable head avatar creation that utilizes discrete geometric primitive to create a parametric morphable shape model and employs 3D Gaussian for fine detail representation and high fidelity rendering. The parametric morphable shape model is a Point-based Morphable Shape Model (PMSM) which uses points instead of meshes for 3D representation to achieve enhanced representation flexibility. The PMSM first converts the FLAME mesh to points by sampling on the surfaces as well as off the meshes to enable the reconstruction of not only surface-like structures but also complex geometries such as eyeglasses and hairstyles. By aligning these points with the head shape in an analysis-by-synthesis manner, the PMSM makes it possible to utilize 3D Gaussian for fine detail representation and appearance modeling, thus enabling the creation of high-fidelity avatars. We show that PSAvatar can reconstruct high-fidelity head avatars of a variety of subjects and the avatars can be animated in real-time (ge 25 fps at a resolution of 512 times 512 ).

PhysX-Omni: Unified Simulation-Ready Physical 3D Generation for Rigid, Deformable, and Articulated Objects

Simulation-ready physical 3D assets have emerged as a promising direction owing to their broad applicability in downstream tasks. However, most existing 3D generation methods either neglect physical properties or are limited to a single asset category, e.g., rigid, deformable, or articulated objects. To address these limitations, we introduce PhysX-Omni, a unified framework for simulation-ready physical 3D generation across diverse asset types. Specifically, we develop a novel and efficient geometry representation tailored for Vision-Language Models, which directly encodes high-resolution 3D structures without compression, significantly improving generation performance. In addition, we construct the first general simulation-ready 3D dataset, PhysXVerse, covering diverse indoor and outdoor categories. Furthermore, to comprehensively and flexibly evaluate both generative and understanding capabilities in the wild, we propose PhysX-Bench, which encompasses six key attributes: geometry, absolute scale, material, affordance, kinematics, and function description. Extensive experiments with conventional metrics and PhysX-Bench show that PhysX-Omni performs strongly in both generation and understanding. Moreover, additional studies further validate the potential of PhysX-Omni for applications in simulation-ready scene generation and robotic policy learning. We believe PhysX-Omni can significantly advance a wide range of downstream applications, particularly in embodied AI and physics-based simulation.

VibraVerse: A Large-Scale Geometry-Acoustics Alignment Dataset for Physically-Consistent Multimodal Learning

Understanding the physical world requires perceptual models grounded in physical laws rather than mere statistical correlations. However, existing multimodal learning frameworks, focused on vision and language, lack physical consistency and overlook the intrinsic causal relationships among an object's geometry, material, vibration modes, and the sounds it produces. We introduce VibraVerse, a large-scale geometry-acoustics alignment dataset that explicitly bridges the causal chain from 3D geometry -> physical attributes -> modal parameters -> acoustic signals. Each 3D model has explicit physical properties (density, Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio) and volumetric geometry, from which modal eigenfrequencies and eigenvectors are computed for impact sound synthesis under controlled excitations. To establish this coherence, we introduce CLASP, a contrastive learning framework for cross-modal alignment that preserves the causal correspondence between an object's physical structure and its acoustic response. This framework enforces physically consistent alignment across modalities, ensuring that every sample is coherent, traceable to the governing equations, and embedded within a unified representation space spanning shape, image, and sound. Built upon VibraVerse, we define a suite of benchmark tasks for geometry-to-sound prediction, sound-guided shape reconstruction, and cross-modal representation learning. Extensive validations on these tasks demonstrate that models trained on VibraVerse exhibit superior accuracy, interpretability, and generalization across modalities. These results establish VibraVerse as a benchmark for physically consistent and causally interpretable multimodal learning, providing a foundation for sound-guided embodied perception and a deeper understanding of the physical world. The dataset will be open-sourced.

Dynam3D: Dynamic Layered 3D Tokens Empower VLM for Vision-and-Language Navigation

Vision-and-Language Navigation (VLN) is a core task where embodied agents leverage their spatial mobility to navigate in 3D environments toward designated destinations based on natural language instructions. Recently, video-language large models (Video-VLMs) with strong generalization capabilities and rich commonsense knowledge have shown remarkable performance when applied to VLN tasks. However, these models still encounter the following challenges when applied to real-world 3D navigation: 1) Insufficient understanding of 3D geometry and spatial semantics; 2) Limited capacity for large-scale exploration and long-term environmental memory; 3) Poor adaptability to dynamic and changing environments. To address these limitations, we propose Dynam3D, a dynamic layered 3D representation model that leverages language-aligned, generalizable, and hierarchical 3D representations as visual input to train 3D-VLM in navigation action prediction. Given posed RGB-D images, our Dynam3D projects 2D CLIP features into 3D space and constructs multi-level 3D patch-instance-zone representations for 3D geometric and semantic understanding with a dynamic and layer-wise update strategy. Our Dynam3D is capable of online encoding and localization of 3D instances, and dynamically updates them in changing environments to provide large-scale exploration and long-term memory capabilities for navigation. By leveraging large-scale 3D-language pretraining and task-specific adaptation, our Dynam3D sets new state-of-the-art performance on VLN benchmarks including R2R-CE, REVERIE-CE and NavRAG-CE under monocular settings. Furthermore, experiments for pre-exploration, lifelong memory, and real-world robot validate the effectiveness of practical deployment.

NSTR: Neural Spectral Transport Representation for Space-Varying Frequency Fields

Implicit Neural Representations (INRs) have emerged as a powerful paradigm for representing signals such as images, audio, and 3D scenes. However, existing INR frameworks -- including MLPs with Fourier features, SIREN, and multiresolution hash grids -- implicitly assume a global and stationary spectral basis. This assumption is fundamentally misaligned with real-world signals whose frequency characteristics vary significantly across space, exhibiting local high-frequency textures, smooth regions, and frequency drift phenomena. We propose Neural Spectral Transport Representation (NSTR), the first INR framework that explicitly models a spatially varying local frequency field. NSTR introduces a learnable frequency transport equation, a PDE that governs how local spectral compositions evolve across space. Given a learnable local spectrum field S(x) and a frequency transport network F_θ enforcing nabla S(x) approx F_θ(x, S(x)), NSTR reconstructs signals by spatially modulating a compact set of global sinusoidal bases. This formulation enables strong local adaptivity and offers a new level of interpretability via visualizing frequency flows. Experiments on 2D image regression, audio reconstruction, and implicit 3D geometry show that NSTR achieves significantly better accuracy-parameter trade-offs than SIREN, Fourier-feature MLPs, and Instant-NGP. NSTR requires fewer global frequencies, converges faster, and naturally explains signal structure through spectral transport fields. We believe NSTR opens a new direction in INR research by introducing explicit modeling of space-varying spectrum.

Lowis3D: Language-Driven Open-World Instance-Level 3D Scene Understanding

Open-world instance-level scene understanding aims to locate and recognize unseen object categories that are not present in the annotated dataset. This task is challenging because the model needs to both localize novel 3D objects and infer their semantic categories. A key factor for the recent progress in 2D open-world perception is the availability of large-scale image-text pairs from the Internet, which cover a wide range of vocabulary concepts. However, this success is hard to replicate in 3D scenarios due to the scarcity of 3D-text pairs. To address this challenge, we propose to harness pre-trained vision-language (VL) foundation models that encode extensive knowledge from image-text pairs to generate captions for multi-view images of 3D scenes. This allows us to establish explicit associations between 3D shapes and semantic-rich captions. Moreover, to enhance the fine-grained visual-semantic representation learning from captions for object-level categorization, we design hierarchical point-caption association methods to learn semantic-aware embeddings that exploit the 3D geometry between 3D points and multi-view images. In addition, to tackle the localization challenge for novel classes in the open-world setting, we develop debiased instance localization, which involves training object grouping modules on unlabeled data using instance-level pseudo supervision. This significantly improves the generalization capabilities of instance grouping and thus the ability to accurately locate novel objects. We conduct extensive experiments on 3D semantic, instance, and panoptic segmentation tasks, covering indoor and outdoor scenes across three datasets. Our method outperforms baseline methods by a significant margin in semantic segmentation (e.g. 34.5%sim65.3%), instance segmentation (e.g. 21.8%sim54.0%) and panoptic segmentation (e.g. 14.7%sim43.3%). Code will be available.

XMask3D: Cross-modal Mask Reasoning for Open Vocabulary 3D Semantic Segmentation

Existing methodologies in open vocabulary 3D semantic segmentation primarily concentrate on establishing a unified feature space encompassing 3D, 2D, and textual modalities. Nevertheless, traditional techniques such as global feature alignment or vision-language model distillation tend to impose only approximate correspondence, struggling notably with delineating fine-grained segmentation boundaries. To address this gap, we propose a more meticulous mask-level alignment between 3D features and the 2D-text embedding space through a cross-modal mask reasoning framework, XMask3D. In our approach, we developed a mask generator based on the denoising UNet from a pre-trained diffusion model, leveraging its capability for precise textual control over dense pixel representations and enhancing the open-world adaptability of the generated masks. We further integrate 3D global features as implicit conditions into the pre-trained 2D denoising UNet, enabling the generation of segmentation masks with additional 3D geometry awareness. Subsequently, the generated 2D masks are employed to align mask-level 3D representations with the vision-language feature space, thereby augmenting the open vocabulary capability of 3D geometry embeddings. Finally, we fuse complementary 2D and 3D mask features, resulting in competitive performance across multiple benchmarks for 3D open vocabulary semantic segmentation. Code is available at https://github.com/wangzy22/XMask3D.

SparSplat: Fast Multi-View Reconstruction with Generalizable 2D Gaussian Splatting

Recovering 3D information from scenes via multi-view stereo reconstruction (MVS) and novel view synthesis (NVS) is inherently challenging, particularly in scenarios involving sparse-view setups. The advent of 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) enabled real-time, photorealistic NVS. Following this, 2D Gaussian Splatting (2DGS) leveraged perspective accurate 2D Gaussian primitive rasterization to achieve accurate geometry representation during rendering, improving 3D scene reconstruction while maintaining real-time performance. Recent approaches have tackled the problem of sparse real-time NVS using 3DGS within a generalizable, MVS-based learning framework to regress 3D Gaussian parameters. Our work extends this line of research by addressing the challenge of generalizable sparse 3D reconstruction and NVS jointly, and manages to perform successfully at both tasks. We propose an MVS-based learning pipeline that regresses 2DGS surface element parameters in a feed-forward fashion to perform 3D shape reconstruction and NVS from sparse-view images. We further show that our generalizable pipeline can benefit from preexisting foundational multi-view deep visual features. The resulting model attains the state-of-the-art results on the DTU sparse 3D reconstruction benchmark in terms of Chamfer distance to ground-truth, as-well as state-of-the-art NVS. It also demonstrates strong generalization on the BlendedMVS and Tanks and Temples datasets. We note that our model outperforms the prior state-of-the-art in feed-forward sparse view reconstruction based on volume rendering of implicit representations, while offering an almost 2 orders of magnitude higher inference speed.

POPE: 6-DoF Promptable Pose Estimation of Any Object, in Any Scene, with One Reference

Despite the significant progress in six degrees-of-freedom (6DoF) object pose estimation, existing methods have limited applicability in real-world scenarios involving embodied agents and downstream 3D vision tasks. These limitations mainly come from the necessity of 3D models, closed-category detection, and a large number of densely annotated support views. To mitigate this issue, we propose a general paradigm for object pose estimation, called Promptable Object Pose Estimation (POPE). The proposed approach POPE enables zero-shot 6DoF object pose estimation for any target object in any scene, while only a single reference is adopted as the support view. To achieve this, POPE leverages the power of the pre-trained large-scale 2D foundation model, employs a framework with hierarchical feature representation and 3D geometry principles. Moreover, it estimates the relative camera pose between object prompts and the target object in new views, enabling both two-view and multi-view 6DoF pose estimation tasks. Comprehensive experimental results demonstrate that POPE exhibits unrivaled robust performance in zero-shot settings, by achieving a significant reduction in the averaged Median Pose Error by 52.38% and 50.47% on the LINEMOD and OnePose datasets, respectively. We also conduct more challenging testings in causally captured images (see Figure 1), which further demonstrates the robustness of POPE. SwiftTailor: Efficient 3D Garment Generation with Geometry Image Representation

Realistic and efficient 3D garment generation remains a longstanding challenge in computer vision and digital fashion. Existing methods typically rely on large vision- language models to produce serialized representations of 2D sewing patterns, which are then transformed into simulation-ready 3D meshes using garment modeling framework such as GarmentCode. Although these approaches yield high-quality results, they often suffer from slow inference times, ranging from 30 seconds to a minute. In this work, we introduce SwiftTailor, a novel two-stage framework that unifies sewing-pattern reasoning and geometry-based mesh synthesis through a compact geometry image representation. SwiftTailor comprises two lightweight modules: PatternMaker, an efficient vision-language model that predicts sewing patterns from diverse input modalities, and GarmentSewer, an efficient dense prediction transformer that converts these patterns into a novel Garment Geometry Image, encoding the 3D surface of all garment panels in a unified UV space. The final 3D mesh is reconstructed through an efficient inverse mapping process that incorporates remeshing and dynamic stitching algorithms to directly assemble the garment, thereby amortizing the cost of physical simulation. Extensive experiments on the Multimodal GarmentCodeData demonstrate that SwiftTailor achieves state-of-the-art accuracy and visual fidelity while significantly reducing inference time. This work offers a scalable, interpretable, and high-performance solution for next-generation 3D garment generation.

ImGeoNet: Image-induced Geometry-aware Voxel Representation for Multi-view 3D Object Detection

We propose ImGeoNet, a multi-view image-based 3D object detection framework that models a 3D space by an image-induced geometry-aware voxel representation. Unlike previous methods which aggregate 2D features into 3D voxels without considering geometry, ImGeoNet learns to induce geometry from multi-view images to alleviate the confusion arising from voxels of free space, and during the inference phase, only images from multiple views are required. Besides, a powerful pre-trained 2D feature extractor can be leveraged by our representation, leading to a more robust performance. To evaluate the effectiveness of ImGeoNet, we conduct quantitative and qualitative experiments on three indoor datasets, namely ARKitScenes, ScanNetV2, and ScanNet200. The results demonstrate that ImGeoNet outperforms the current state-of-the-art multi-view image-based method, ImVoxelNet, on all three datasets in terms of detection accuracy. In addition, ImGeoNet shows great data efficiency by achieving results comparable to ImVoxelNet with 100 views while utilizing only 40 views. Furthermore, our studies indicate that our proposed image-induced geometry-aware representation can enable image-based methods to attain superior detection accuracy than the seminal point cloud-based method, VoteNet, in two practical scenarios: (1) scenarios where point clouds are sparse and noisy, such as in ARKitScenes, and (2) scenarios involve diverse object classes, particularly classes of small objects, as in the case in ScanNet200.

Learning 3D Representations for Spatial Intelligence from Unposed Multi-View Images

Robust 3D representation learning forms the perceptual foundation of spatial intelligence, enabling downstream tasks in scene understanding and embodied AI. However, learning such representations directly from unposed multi-view images remains challenging. Recent self-supervised methods attempt to unify geometry, appearance, and semantics in a feed-forward manner, but they often suffer from weak geometry induction, limited appearance detail, and inconsistencies between geometry and semantics. We introduce UniSplat, a feed-forward framework designed to address these limitations through three complementary components. First, we propose a dual-masking strategy that strengthens geometry induction in the encoder. By masking both encoder and decoder tokens, and targeting decoder masks toward geometry-rich regions, the model is forced to infer structural information from incomplete visual cues, yielding geometry-aware representations even under unposed inputs. Second, we develop a coarse-to-fine Gaussian splatting strategy that reduces appearance-semantics inconsistencies by progressively refining the radiance field. Finally, to enforce geometric-semantic consistency, we introduce a pose-conditioned recalibration mechanism that interrelates the outputs of multiple heads by re-projecting predicted 3D point and semantic maps into the image plane using estimated camera parameters, and aligning them with corresponding RGB and semantic predictions to ensure cross-task consistency, thereby resolving geometry-semantic mismatches. Together, these components yield unified 3D representations that are robust to unposed, sparse-view inputs and generalize across diverse tasks, laying a perceptual foundation for spatial intelligence.

Ghost on the Shell: An Expressive Representation of General 3D Shapes

The creation of photorealistic virtual worlds requires the accurate modeling of 3D surface geometry for a wide range of objects. For this, meshes are appealing since they 1) enable fast physics-based rendering with realistic material and lighting, 2) support physical simulation, and 3) are memory-efficient for modern graphics pipelines. Recent work on reconstructing and statistically modeling 3D shape, however, has critiqued meshes as being topologically inflexible. To capture a wide range of object shapes, any 3D representation must be able to model solid, watertight, shapes as well as thin, open, surfaces. Recent work has focused on the former, and methods for reconstructing open surfaces do not support fast reconstruction with material and lighting or unconditional generative modelling. Inspired by the observation that open surfaces can be seen as islands floating on watertight surfaces, we parameterize open surfaces by defining a manifold signed distance field on watertight templates. With this parameterization, we further develop a grid-based and differentiable representation that parameterizes both watertight and non-watertight meshes of arbitrary topology. Our new representation, called Ghost-on-the-Shell (G-Shell), enables two important applications: differentiable rasterization-based reconstruction from multiview images and generative modelling of non-watertight meshes. We empirically demonstrate that G-Shell achieves state-of-the-art performance on non-watertight mesh reconstruction and generation tasks, while also performing effectively for watertight meshes.

Facial Geometric Detail Recovery via Implicit Representation

Learning a dense 3D model with fine-scale details from a single facial image is highly challenging and ill-posed. To address this problem, many approaches fit smooth geometries through facial prior while learning details as additional displacement maps or personalized basis. However, these techniques typically require vast datasets of paired multi-view data or 3D scans, whereas such datasets are scarce and expensive. To alleviate heavy data dependency, we present a robust texture-guided geometric detail recovery approach using only a single in-the-wild facial image. More specifically, our method combines high-quality texture completion with the powerful expressiveness of implicit surfaces. Initially, we inpaint occluded facial parts, generate complete textures, and build an accurate multi-view dataset of the same subject. In order to estimate the detailed geometry, we define an implicit signed distance function and employ a physically-based implicit renderer to reconstruct fine geometric details from the generated multi-view images. Our method not only recovers accurate facial details but also decomposes normals, albedos, and shading parts in a self-supervised way. Finally, we register the implicit shape details to a 3D Morphable Model template, which can be used in traditional modeling and rendering pipelines. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed approach can reconstruct impressive facial details from a single image, especially when compared with state-of-the-art methods trained on large datasets.

Joint2Human: High-quality 3D Human Generation via Compact Spherical Embedding of 3D Joints

3D human generation is increasingly significant in various applications. However, the direct use of 2D generative methods in 3D generation often results in significant loss of local details, while methods that reconstruct geometry from generated images struggle with global view consistency. In this work, we introduce Joint2Human, a novel method that leverages 2D diffusion models to generate detailed 3D human geometry directly, ensuring both global structure and local details. To achieve this, we employ the Fourier occupancy field (FOF) representation, enabling the direct production of 3D shapes as preliminary results using 2D generative models. With the proposed high-frequency enhancer and the multi-view recarving strategy, our method can seamlessly integrate the details from different views into a uniform global shape. To better utilize the 3D human prior and enhance control over the generated geometry, we introduce a compact spherical embedding of 3D joints. This allows for effective application of pose guidance during the generation process. Additionally, our method is capable of generating 3D humans guided by textual inputs. Our experimental results demonstrate the capability of our method to ensure global structure, local details, high resolution, and low computational cost, simultaneously. WNM-3D: A World Navigation Model with 3D Scene Conditioning for Closed-Loop VLN

Recent vision-language navigation (VLN) systems increasingly adapt pretrained vision-language models (VLMs) into vision-language-action (VLA) policies that map egocentric observations and language instructions directly to navigation actions. Although semantically capable, such action-centric training does not explicitly model how the agent's visual observations should evolve under its predicted motion. Generative world-action models (WAMs) jointly predict future observations and actions, yet existing WAMs for continuous VLN do not condition joint future-view and action generation on geometry-aware representations inferred from the observed history. We present WNM-3D, a generative World Navigation Model with 3D scene conditioning for continuous VLN. To consolidate past observations into persistent scene context, a frozen feed-forward geometry encoder extracts geometry-aware representations from the monocular egocentric RGB history, and a trainable 3D Scene-to-Token Adapter converts them into a fixed-length prefix in the token space of the world-action Diffusion Transformer. Through block-causal attention, this prefix conditions every future video-action block, providing a shared geometric context for both future-view and action generation. We train WNM-3D through supervised world-action fine-tuning on A*-generated demonstrations, DAgger-style adaptation on policy-visited states, and DanceGRPO-based closed-loop policy optimization. Experiments on GN-Bench show that WNM-3D outperforms strong VLM-based navigation policies and its 2D-conditioned counterpart in closed-loop navigation. On a fixed near-goal evaluation set, WNM-3D also achieves higher flow-action consistency and lower visual-motion error.

GIQ: Benchmarking 3D Geometric Reasoning of Vision Foundation Models with Simulated and Real Polyhedra

Modern monocular 3D reconstruction methods and vision-language models (VLMs) demonstrate impressive results on standard benchmarks, yet recent works cast doubt on their true understanding of geometric properties. We introduce GOQ, a comprehensive benchmark specifically designed to evaluate the geometric reasoning capabilities of vision and vision-language foundation models. GIQ comprises synthetic and real-world images and corresponding 3D meshes of diverse polyhedra covering varying levels of complexity and symmetry, from Platonic, Archimedean, Johnson, and Catalan solids to stellations and compound shapes. Through systematic experiments involving monocular 3D reconstruction, 3D symmetry detection, mental rotation tests, and zero-shot shape classification tasks, we reveal significant shortcomings in current models. State-of-the-art reconstruction algorithms trained on extensive 3D datasets struggle to reconstruct even basic geometric Platonic solids accurately. Next, although foundation models may be shown via linear and non-linear probing to capture specific 3D symmetry elements, they falter significantly in tasks requiring detailed geometric differentiation, such as mental rotation. Moreover, advanced vision-language assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Claud exhibit remarkably low accuracy in interpreting basic shape properties such as face geometry, convexity, and compound structures of complex polyhedra. GIQ is publicly available at toomanymatts.github.io/giq-benchmark/, providing a structured platform to benchmark critical gaps in geometric intelligence and facilitate future progress in robust, geometry-aware representation learning.

Lite3R: A Model-Agnostic Framework for Efficient Feed-Forward 3D Reconstruction

Transformer-based 3D reconstruction has emerged as a powerful paradigm for recovering geometry and appearance from multi-view observations, offering strong performance across challenging visual conditions. As these models scale to larger backbones and higher-resolution inputs, improving their efficiency becomes increasingly important for practical deployment. However, modern 3D transformer pipelines face two coupled challenges: dense multi-view attention creates substantial token-mixing overhead, and low-precision execution can destabilize geometry-sensitive representations and degrade depth, pose, and 3D consistency. To address the first challenge, we propose Lite3R, a model-agnostic teacher-student framework that replaces dense attention with Sparse Linear Attention to preserve important geometric interactions while reducing attention cost. To address the second challenge, we introduce a parameter-efficient FP8-aware quantization-aware training (FP8-aware QAT) strategy with partial attention distillation, which freezes the vast majority of pretrained backbone parameters and trains only lightweight linear-branch projection layers, enabling stable low-precision deployment while retaining pretrained geometric priors. We further evaluate Lite3R on two representative backbones, VGGT and DA3-Large, over BlendedMVS and DTU64, showing that it substantially reduces latency (1.7-2.0x) and memory usage (1.9-2.4x) while preserving competitive reconstruction quality overall. These results demonstrate that Lite3R provides an effective algorithm-system co-design approach for practical transformer-based 3D reconstruction. Code: https://github.com/AIGeeksGroup/Lite3R. Training-Free Dense Hand Contact Estimation with Multi-Modal Large Language Models

Dense hand contact estimation requires both high-level semantic understanding and fine-grained geometric reasoning of human interaction to accurately localize contact regions. Recently, multi-modal large language models (MLLMs) have demonstrated strong capabilities in understanding visual semantics, enabled by vision-language priors learned from large-scale data. However, leveraging MLLMs for dense hand contact estimation remains underexplored. There are two major challenges in applying MLLMs to dense hand contact estimation. First, encoding explicit 3D hand geometry is difficult, as MLLMs primarily operate on vision and language modalities. Second, capturing fine-grained vertex-level contact remains challenging, as MLLMs tend to focus on high-level semantics rather than detailed geometric reasoning. To address these challenges, we propose ContactPrompt, a training-free and zero-shot approach for dense hand contact estimation using MLLMs. To effectively encode 3D hand geometry, we introduce a detailed hand-part segmentation and a part-wise vertex-grid representation that provides structured, localized geometric information. To enable accurate and efficient dense contact prediction, we develop a multi-stage structured contact reasoning with part conditioning, progressively bridging global semantics and fine-grained geometry. Therefore, our method effectively leverages the reasoning capabilities of MLLMs while enabling precise dense hand contact estimation. Surprisingly, the proposed approach outperforms previous supervised methods trained on large-scale dense contact datasets without requiring any training. The codes will be released.

Scene as Occupancy

Human driver can easily describe the complex traffic scene by visual system. Such an ability of precise perception is essential for driver's planning. To achieve this, a geometry-aware representation that quantizes the physical 3D scene into structured grid map with semantic labels per cell, termed as 3D Occupancy, would be desirable. Compared to the form of bounding box, a key insight behind occupancy is that it could capture the fine-grained details of critical obstacles in the scene, and thereby facilitate subsequent tasks. Prior or concurrent literature mainly concentrate on a single scene completion task, where we might argue that the potential of this occupancy representation might obsess broader impact. In this paper, we propose OccNet, a multi-view vision-centric pipeline with a cascade and temporal voxel decoder to reconstruct 3D occupancy. At the core of OccNet is a general occupancy embedding to represent 3D physical world. Such a descriptor could be applied towards a wide span of driving tasks, including detection, segmentation and planning. To validate the effectiveness of this new representation and our proposed algorithm, we propose OpenOcc, the first dense high-quality 3D occupancy benchmark built on top of nuScenes. Empirical experiments show that there are evident performance gain across multiple tasks, e.g., motion planning could witness a collision rate reduction by 15%-58%, demonstrating the superiority of our method.

Dual-Domain Representation Alignment: Bridging 2D and 3D Vision via Geometry-Aware Architecture Search

Modern computer vision requires balancing predictive accuracy with real-time efficiency, yet the high inference cost of large vision models (LVMs) limits deployment on resource-constrained edge devices. Although Evolutionary Neural Architecture Search (ENAS) is well suited for multi-objective optimization, its practical use is hindered by two issues: expensive candidate evaluation and ranking inconsistency among subnetworks. To address them, we propose EvoNAS, an efficient distributed framework for multi-objective evolutionary architecture search. We build a hybrid supernet that integrates Vision State Space and Vision Transformer (VSS-ViT) modules, and optimize it with a Cross-Architecture Dual-Domain Knowledge Distillation (CA-DDKD) strategy. By coupling the computational efficiency of VSS blocks with the semantic expressiveness of ViT modules, CA-DDKD improves the representational capacity of the shared supernet and enhances ranking consistency, enabling reliable fitness estimation during evolution without extra fine-tuning. To reduce the cost of large-scale validation, we further introduce a Distributed Multi-Model Parallel Evaluation (DMMPE) framework based on GPU resource pooling and asynchronous scheduling. Compared with conventional data-parallel evaluation, DMMPE improves efficiency by over 70% through concurrent multi-GPU, multi-model execution. Experiments on COCO, ADE20K, KITTI, and NYU-Depth v2 show that the searched architectures, termed EvoNets, consistently achieve Pareto-optimal trade-offs between accuracy and efficiency. Compared with representative CNN-, ViT-, and Mamba-based models, EvoNets deliver lower inference latency and higher throughput under strict computational budgets while maintaining strong generalization on downstream tasks such as novel view synthesis. Reconstruction Matters: Learning Geometry-Aligned BEV Representation through 3D Gaussian Splatting

Bird's-Eye-View (BEV) perception serves as a cornerstone for autonomous driving, offering a unified spatial representation that fuses surrounding-view images to enable reasoning for various downstream tasks, such as semantic segmentation, 3D object detection, and motion prediction. However, most existing BEV perception frameworks adopt an end-to-end training paradigm, where image features are directly transformed into the BEV space and optimized solely through downstream task supervision. This formulation treats the entire perception process as a black box, often lacking explicit 3D geometric understanding and interpretability, leading to suboptimal performance. In this paper, we claim that an explicit 3D representation matters for accurate BEV perception, and we propose Splat2BEV, a Gaussian Splatting-assisted framework for BEV tasks. Splat2BEV aims to learn BEV feature representations that are both semantically rich and geometrically precise. We first pre-train a Gaussian generator that explicitly reconstructs 3D scenes from multi-view inputs, enabling the generation of geometry-aligned feature representations. These representations are then projected into the BEV space to serve as inputs for downstream tasks. Extensive experiments on nuScenes and argoverse dataset demonstrate that Splat2BEV achieves state-of-the-art performance and validate the effectiveness of incorporating explicit 3D reconstruction into BEV perception.

PanoHead: Geometry-Aware 3D Full-Head Synthesis in 360$^{\circ}$

Synthesis and reconstruction of 3D human head has gained increasing interests in computer vision and computer graphics recently. Existing state-of-the-art 3D generative adversarial networks (GANs) for 3D human head synthesis are either limited to near-frontal views or hard to preserve 3D consistency in large view angles. We propose PanoHead, the first 3D-aware generative model that enables high-quality view-consistent image synthesis of full heads in 360^circ with diverse appearance and detailed geometry using only in-the-wild unstructured images for training. At its core, we lift up the representation power of recent 3D GANs and bridge the data alignment gap when training from in-the-wild images with widely distributed views. Specifically, we propose a novel two-stage self-adaptive image alignment for robust 3D GAN training. We further introduce a tri-grid neural volume representation that effectively addresses front-face and back-head feature entanglement rooted in the widely-adopted tri-plane formulation. Our method instills prior knowledge of 2D image segmentation in adversarial learning of 3D neural scene structures, enabling compositable head synthesis in diverse backgrounds. Benefiting from these designs, our method significantly outperforms previous 3D GANs, generating high-quality 3D heads with accurate geometry and diverse appearances, even with long wavy and afro hairstyles, renderable from arbitrary poses. Furthermore, we show that our system can reconstruct full 3D heads from single input images for personalized realistic 3D avatars.

MMGDreamer: Mixed-Modality Graph for Geometry-Controllable 3D Indoor Scene Generation

Controllable 3D scene generation has extensive applications in virtual reality and interior design, where the generated scenes should exhibit high levels of realism and controllability in terms of geometry. Scene graphs provide a suitable data representation that facilitates these applications. However, current graph-based methods for scene generation are constrained to text-based inputs and exhibit insufficient adaptability to flexible user inputs, hindering the ability to precisely control object geometry. To address this issue, we propose MMGDreamer, a dual-branch diffusion model for scene generation that incorporates a novel Mixed-Modality Graph, visual enhancement module, and relation predictor. The mixed-modality graph allows object nodes to integrate textual and visual modalities, with optional relationships between nodes. It enhances adaptability to flexible user inputs and enables meticulous control over the geometry of objects in the generated scenes. The visual enhancement module enriches the visual fidelity of text-only nodes by constructing visual representations using text embeddings. Furthermore, our relation predictor leverages node representations to infer absent relationships between nodes, resulting in more coherent scene layouts. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that MMGDreamer exhibits superior control of object geometry, achieving state-of-the-art scene generation performance. GEAR-VLA: Learning Geometry-Aware Action Representations for Generalizable Robotic Manipulation

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models achieve strong benchmark performance but still struggle in real-world deployment with unseen objects, background shifts, and different robot embodiments. We argue that this stems from the lack of a unified geometry-aware manipulation representation, leaving existing VLAs vulnerable to low-level trajectory supervision, misaligned 3D features, and embodiment differences. To address this, we propose GEAR-VLA, a VLA framework for learning unified geometry-aware action representations for generalizable robotic manipulation. GEAR-VLA adopts coarse-to-fine action learning, where multi-source embodied pretraining equips the VLM with embodied reasoning and discrete action understanding before latent action tokens connect action semantics to a gradient-decoupled DiT continuous action expert. It further performs semantic-aligned 3D integration by aligning a trainable 3D spatial backbone with the VLA representation while freezing the original VLM-aligned visual pathway. To share this representation across robots, GEAR-VLA uses embodiment canonicalization, where embodiment-aware states and embodiment-invariant actions confine robot differences to the low-level interface. Extensive simulation and real-world experiments demonstrate strong generalization: GEAR-VLA achieves state-of-the-art performance on LIBERO, zero-shot LIBERO-Plus, and RoboTwin 2.0, reaches 85.9% success on AgileX and 81.0% on the pretraining-unseen LDT-01 embodiment, and obtains 90.1% success on a 6,360-trial universal grasping benchmark with 212 unseen objects. Code and models will be released at https://github.com/babynabeauty/GEAR-VLA.

Latent Riemannian Flow Matching for Geometry-Grounded 3D Foundation Models

Geometric foundation models, such as the Visual Geometry Grounded Transformer (VGGT), provide strong 3D priors from unposed images. However, such models operate purely in a feed-forward, deterministic regime, \ie~they cannot generate plausible geometry beyond what the input views directly support. Generative models for 3D scenes, on the other hand, must rely on strong geometric priors to produce coherent outputs from sparse inputs. We bridge these two paradigms by performing flow matching directly in VGGT's latent space, leveraging its learned 3D priors without committing to any explicit downstream representation such as Gaussians, meshes, or video-VAE latents. This requires respecting the latent geometry: VGGT tokens occupy a product of high-dimensional hyperspheres on which standard Euclidean flow matching fails. We address this with a Riemannian Flow Matching framework defined on a product manifold of four hyperspheres, aligned with VGGT's multi-scale encoder, which keeps generated tokens on the valid data manifold required by the frozen decoding heads. On RealEstate10K, ScanNet++ and ETH3D, our method achieves strong performance against recent scene generation baselines in both per-view appearance and aggregated 3D geometry, establishing latent-space flow matching on geometric foundation models as a viable paradigm for 3D generation. EGG-Fusion: Efficient 3D Reconstruction with Geometry-aware Gaussian Surfel on the Fly

Real-time 3D reconstruction is a fundamental task in computer graphics. Recently, differentiable-rendering-based SLAM system has demonstrated significant potential, enabling photorealistic scene rendering through learnable scene representations such as Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) and 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS). Current differentiable rendering methods face dual challenges in real-time computation and sensor noise sensitivity, leading to degraded geometric fidelity in scene reconstruction and limited practicality. To address these challenges, we propose a novel real-time system EGG-Fusion, featuring robust sparse-to-dense camera tracking and a geometry-aware Gaussian surfel mapping module, introducing an information filter-based fusion method that explicitly accounts for sensor noise to achieve high-precision surface reconstruction. The proposed differentiable Gaussian surfel mapping effectively models multi-view consistent surfaces while enabling efficient parameter optimization. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system achieves a surface reconstruction error of 0.6cm on standardized benchmark datasets including Replica and ScanNet++, representing over 20\% improvement in accuracy compared to state-of-the-art (SOTA) GS-based methods. Notably, the system maintains real-time processing capabilities at 24 FPS, establishing it as one of the most accurate differentiable-rendering-based real-time reconstruction systems. RaysUp: Ultra-light Universal Feature Upsampling via Geometry-Aware Ray Representation

Pre-trained Vision Foundation Models (VFMs) have become central to modern computer vision due to their powerful semantic representations and strong generalization ability. However, their patchified or pooled outputs are inherently low-resolution, limiting their effectiveness in tasks requiring fine-grained, pixel-level reasoning. Existing feature upsampling approaches either degrade semantic fidelity or rely on VFM-specific retraining and heavy architectures, hindering efficiency and scalability. To address these challenges, we propose RaysUp, an ultra-lightweight, task-agnostic, and VFM-agnostic feature upsampling framework that reconstructs high-resolution feature maps at arbitrary resolutions. Unlike conventional 2D interpolation or attention-based schemes, RaysUp lifts feature reconstruction into a geometry-aware ray domain. Specifically, we introduce a Spatially Decoupled Guidance Encoder for direction-aware guidance encoding, an Any-Resolution Cross-Attention mechanism for resolution-flexible reconstruction, and a novel Ray Positional Encoding (RayPE) that injects implicit 3D geometric priors via 6D Plucker ray coordinates. Finally, a Geometry-Aware Neighborhood Attention module further ensures content-adaptive bilateral aggregation while preserving geometric consistency. Extensive experiments across diverse dense prediction tasks demonstrate that RaysUp achieves state-of-the-art performance while using only 16% of the parameters of AnyUp and delivering approximately 7x faster inference. These results highlight a substantially improved accuracy-efficiency trade-off and establish RaysUp as a practical and scalable solution for universal feature upsampling. HERMES++: Toward a Unified Driving World Model for 3D Scene Understanding and Generation

Driving world models serve as a pivotal technology for autonomous driving by simulating environmental dynamics. However, existing approaches predominantly focus on future scene generation, often overlooking comprehensive 3D scene understanding. Conversely, while Large Language Models (LLMs) demonstrate impressive reasoning capabilities, they lack the capacity to predict future geometric evolution, creating a significant disparity between semantic interpretation and physical simulation. To bridge this gap, we propose HERMES++, a unified driving world model that integrates 3D scene understanding and future geometry prediction within a single framework. Our approach addresses the distinct requirements of these tasks through synergistic designs. First, a BEV representation consolidates multi-view spatial information into a structure compatible with LLMs. Second, we introduce LLM-enhanced world queries to facilitate knowledge transfer from the understanding branch. Third, a Current-to-Future Link is designed to bridge the temporal gap, conditioning geometric evolution on semantic context. Finally, to enforce structural integrity, we employ a Joint Geometric Optimization strategy that integrates explicit geometric constraints with implicit latent regularization to align internal representations with geometry-aware priors. Extensive evaluations on multiple benchmarks validate the effectiveness of our method. HERMES++ achieves strong performance, outperforming specialist approaches in both future point cloud prediction and 3D scene understanding tasks. The model and code will be publicly released at https://github.com/H-EmbodVis/HERMESV2.

2Xplat: Two Experts Are Better Than One Generalist

Pose-free feed-forward 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has opened a new frontier for rapid 3D modeling, enabling high-quality Gaussian representations to be generated from uncalibrated multi-view images in a single forward pass. The dominant approach in this space adopts unified monolithic architectures, often built on geometry-centric 3D foundation models, to jointly estimate camera poses and synthesize 3DGS representations within a single network. While architecturally streamlined, such "all-in-one" designs may be suboptimal for high-fidelity 3DGS generation, as they entangle geometric reasoning and appearance modeling within a shared representation. In this work, we introduce 2Xplat, a pose-free feed-forward 3DGS framework based on a two-expert design that explicitly separates geometry estimation from Gaussian generation. A dedicated geometry expert first predicts camera poses, which are then explicitly passed to a powerful appearance expert that synthesizes 3D Gaussians. Despite its conceptual simplicity, being largely underexplored in prior works, the proposed approach proves highly effective. In fewer than 5K training iterations, the proposed two-experts pipeline substantially outperforms prior pose-free feed-forward 3DGS approaches and achieves performance on par with state-of-the-art posed methods. These results challenge the prevailing unified paradigm and suggest the potential advantages of modular design principles for complex 3D geometric estimation and appearance synthesis tasks.

VistaVLA: Geometry- and Semantic-Aware 3D Gaussian-Grounded VLA for Robotic Manipulation

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models have emerged as a powerful end-to-end paradigm for robotic manipulation by mapping language instructions and 2D visual inputs directly to actions. However, these models lack an explicit, scene-level 3D representation, limiting their ability to reason over spatial layouts and geometric constraints. While recent efforts incorporate explicit 3D cues, such as depth maps or point clouds, to improve geometric awareness, they primarily capture low-level structures and lack high-level semantic grounding in 3D space. In human cognition, interaction with the physical world relies on a 3D semantic cognitive map - an internal mental model that integrates spatial layouts with semantic context to enable persistent, viewpoint-invariant reasoning. In light of this, we present VistaVLA, a novel two-stage framework that constructs a geometry- and semantics-aware 3D cognitive representation from 3D Gaussian primitives and grounds it as compact context tokens for VLA policy learning. Specifically, VistaVLA lifts multi-view vision-language features into 3D Gaussian primitives, forming geometry-anchored semantic tokens that align view-consistent spatial grounding with 2D visual feature spaces. To make this 3D representation computationally tractable for effective VLA control, we introduce Merge-then-Query (MtQ), a token summarization mechanism. MtQ compresses dense Gaussian primitives into a highly compact set of spatially informative tokens, achieving a 99% token reduction while preserving action-relevant 3D layouts and semantic context. Extensive evaluations in both simulated and real-world environments demonstrate the effectiveness of VistaVLA. Notably, in real-world scenarios, VistaVLA improves success rates by 22.8% across seven real-world tasks and by 30.0% over the VLA-Adapter baseline on challenging out-of-distribution tasks.

GEPAR3D: Geometry Prior-Assisted Learning for 3D Tooth Segmentation

Tooth segmentation in Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) remains challenging, especially for fine structures like root apices, which is critical for assessing root resorption in orthodontics. We introduce GEPAR3D, a novel approach that unifies instance detection and multi-class segmentation into a single step tailored to improve root segmentation. Our method integrates a Statistical Shape Model of dentition as a geometric prior, capturing anatomical context and morphological consistency without enforcing restrictive adjacency constraints. We leverage a deep watershed method, modeling each tooth as a continuous 3D energy basin encoding voxel distances to boundaries. This instance-aware representation ensures accurate segmentation of narrow, complex root apices. Trained on publicly available CBCT scans from a single center, our method is evaluated on external test sets from two in-house and two public medical centers. GEPAR3D achieves the highest overall segmentation performance, averaging a Dice Similarity Coefficient (DSC) of 95.0% (+2.8% over the second-best method) and increasing recall to 95.2% (+9.5%) across all test sets. Qualitative analyses demonstrated substantial improvements in root segmentation quality, indicating significant potential for more accurate root resorption assessment and enhanced clinical decision-making in orthodontics. We provide the implementation and dataset at https://github.com/tomek1911/GEPAR3D.

DiffGI: Differentiable Geometry Images for High-Fidelity Thin-Shell 3D Generation

Existing 3D generative models predominantly rely on implicit volumetric representations, which enforce watertight topology and struggle to represent thin-shell and non-manifold geometries such as garments. Geometry image-based approaches offer a surface-centric alternative, but existing methods rely on discrete binary occupancy maps whose resolution-dependent boundary encoding causes staircase artifacts and information loss upon downsampling, while surface reconstruction remains a non-differentiable post-processing step disconnected from the learning pipeline. To address this, we propose Differentiable Geometry Image (DiffGI), an end-to-end 3D-to-2D mapping framework that seamlessly integrates surface representation and geometric optimization. DiffGI replaces binary maps with a continuous 2D Truncated Signed Distance Function (TSDF), which encodes boundary position at subpixel precision within a fixed grid resolution, eliminating resolution-dependent staircase artifacts even under aggressive downsampling. Building on this continuous field, we introduce a differentiable Marching Squares algorithm based on analytical linear interpolation, allowing gradients from 3D surface losses to propagate back to the 2D latent space. Leveraging this differentiable pipeline, we train a DiffGI-VAE augmented with a geometry-aware normal rendering loss to compress complex 3D surfaces into an ultra-compact 32X32 latent space, and instantiate a transformer-based latent diffusion model with a flow-matching objective on top of this space for conditional 3D generation. Extensive experiments on garment and object datasets demonstrate that our method achieves superior reconstruction fidelity and boundary precision compared to prior geometry-image and voxel-based approaches, while requiring significantly fewer computational resources.

IGGT: Instance-Grounded Geometry Transformer for Semantic 3D Reconstruction

Humans naturally perceive the geometric structure and semantic content of a 3D world as intertwined dimensions, enabling coherent and accurate understanding of complex scenes. However, most prior approaches prioritize training large geometry models for low-level 3D reconstruction and treat high-level spatial understanding in isolation, overlooking the crucial interplay between these two fundamental aspects of 3D-scene analysis, thereby limiting generalization and leading to poor performance in downstream 3D understanding tasks. Recent attempts have mitigated this issue by simply aligning 3D models with specific language models, thus restricting perception to the aligned model's capacity and limiting adaptability to downstream tasks. In this paper, we propose InstanceGrounded Geometry Transformer (IGGT), an end-to-end large unified transformer to unify the knowledge for both spatial reconstruction and instance-level contextual understanding. Specifically, we design a 3D-Consistent Contrastive Learning strategy that guides IGGT to encode a unified representation with geometric structures and instance-grounded clustering through only 2D visual inputs. This representation supports consistent lifting of 2D visual inputs into a coherent 3D scene with explicitly distinct object instances. To facilitate this task, we further construct InsScene-15K, a large-scale dataset with high-quality RGB images, poses, depth maps, and 3D-consistent instance-level mask annotations with a novel data curation pipeline.

Robust and High-Fidelity 3D Gaussian Splatting: Fusing Pose Priors and Geometry Constraints for Texture-Deficient Outdoor Scenes

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has emerged as a key rendering pipeline for digital asset creation due to its balance between efficiency and visual quality. To address the issues of unstable pose estimation and scene representation distortion caused by geometric texture inconsistency in large outdoor scenes with weak or repetitive textures, we approach the problem from two aspects: pose estimation and scene representation. For pose estimation, we leverage LiDAR-IMU Odometry to provide prior poses for cameras in large-scale environments. These prior pose constraints are incorporated into COLMAP's triangulation process, with pose optimization performed via bundle adjustment. Ensuring consistency between pixel data association and prior poses helps maintain both robustness and accuracy. For scene representation, we introduce normal vector constraints and effective rank regularization to enforce consistency in the direction and shape of Gaussian primitives. These constraints are jointly optimized with the existing photometric loss to enhance the map quality. We evaluate our approach using both public and self-collected datasets. In terms of pose optimization, our method requires only one-third of the time while maintaining accuracy and robustness across both datasets. In terms of scene representation, the results show that our method significantly outperforms conventional 3DGS pipelines. Notably, on self-collected datasets characterized by weak or repetitive textures, our approach demonstrates enhanced visualization capabilities and achieves superior overall performance. Fantasia3D: Disentangling Geometry and Appearance for High-quality Text-to-3D Content Creation

Automatic 3D content creation has achieved rapid progress recently due to the availability of pre-trained, large language models and image diffusion models, forming the emerging topic of text-to-3D content creation. Existing text-to-3D methods commonly use implicit scene representations, which couple the geometry and appearance via volume rendering and are suboptimal in terms of recovering finer geometries and achieving photorealistic rendering; consequently, they are less effective for generating high-quality 3D assets. In this work, we propose a new method of Fantasia3D for high-quality text-to-3D content creation. Key to Fantasia3D is the disentangled modeling and learning of geometry and appearance. For geometry learning, we rely on a hybrid scene representation, and propose to encode surface normal extracted from the representation as the input of the image diffusion model. For appearance modeling, we introduce the spatially varying bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) into the text-to-3D task, and learn the surface material for photorealistic rendering of the generated surface. Our disentangled framework is more compatible with popular graphics engines, supporting relighting, editing, and physical simulation of the generated 3D assets. We conduct thorough experiments that show the advantages of our method over existing ones under different text-to-3D task settings. Project page and source codes: https://fantasia3d.github.io/.

GTR: Improving Large 3D Reconstruction Models through Geometry and Texture Refinement

We propose a novel approach for 3D mesh reconstruction from multi-view images. Our method takes inspiration from large reconstruction models like LRM that use a transformer-based triplane generator and a Neural Radiance Field (NeRF) model trained on multi-view images. However, in our method, we introduce several important modifications that allow us to significantly enhance 3D reconstruction quality. First of all, we examine the original LRM architecture and find several shortcomings. Subsequently, we introduce respective modifications to the LRM architecture, which lead to improved multi-view image representation and more computationally efficient training. Second, in order to improve geometry reconstruction and enable supervision at full image resolution, we extract meshes from the NeRF field in a differentiable manner and fine-tune the NeRF model through mesh rendering. These modifications allow us to achieve state-of-the-art performance on both 2D and 3D evaluation metrics, such as a PSNR of 28.67 on Google Scanned Objects (GSO) dataset. Despite these superior results, our feed-forward model still struggles to reconstruct complex textures, such as text and portraits on assets. To address this, we introduce a lightweight per-instance texture refinement procedure. This procedure fine-tunes the triplane representation and the NeRF color estimation model on the mesh surface using the input multi-view images in just 4 seconds. This refinement improves the PSNR to 29.79 and achieves faithful reconstruction of complex textures, such as text. Additionally, our approach enables various downstream applications, including text- or image-to-3D generation.

NaviNeRF: NeRF-based 3D Representation Disentanglement by Latent Semantic Navigation

3D representation disentanglement aims to identify, decompose, and manipulate the underlying explanatory factors of 3D data, which helps AI fundamentally understand our 3D world. This task is currently under-explored and poses great challenges: (i) the 3D representations are complex and in general contains much more information than 2D image; (ii) many 3D representations are not well suited for gradient-based optimization, let alone disentanglement. To address these challenges, we use NeRF as a differentiable 3D representation, and introduce a self-supervised Navigation to identify interpretable semantic directions in the latent space. To our best knowledge, this novel method, dubbed NaviNeRF, is the first work to achieve fine-grained 3D disentanglement without any priors or supervisions. Specifically, NaviNeRF is built upon the generative NeRF pipeline, and equipped with an Outer Navigation Branch and an Inner Refinement Branch. They are complementary -- the outer navigation is to identify global-view semantic directions, and the inner refinement dedicates to fine-grained attributes. A synergistic loss is further devised to coordinate two branches. Extensive experiments demonstrate that NaviNeRF has a superior fine-grained 3D disentanglement ability than the previous 3D-aware models. Its performance is also comparable to editing-oriented models relying on semantic or geometry priors.
