RAGDiffusion++: From Macro-Retrieval to Micro-Fidelity Alignment for Garment Generation

Standard clothing asset generation---restoring forward-facing flat-lay garment images from diverse real-world contexts---holds immense commercial value yet demands both macroscopic topological accuracy and microscopic physical fidelity. Although our previous work RAGDiffusion effectively eradicated large-scale structural hallucinations via retrieval-augmented macro-constraints, achieving industrial-grade micro-texture realism remains an unsolved bottleneck. We formally identify this limitation as High-Frequency Trajectory Collapse: supervised fine-tuning (SFT) converges to the conditional mean of the training distribution, which is dominated by smooth, low-frequency textures, causing high-frequency patterns (e.g., fabric weaves, intricate logos) to become nearly un-sampleable. Naively applying Reinforcement Learning (RL) post-training further triggers Artifact Hacking, where models exploit semantic biases in generic reward models by generating deceptive checkerboard noise. Our key insight is that RL can fundamentally reshape the sampling distribution of flow models---elevating the probability of high-fidelity trajectories under accurate reward guidance---while adversarial regularization prevents exploitation of reward blind spots. Realizing this principle requires three prerequisites: (i)inherent capacity, established through a 27,725-pair high-complexity garment dataset (STGarment-Plus) and a Dual-Image-Stream FLUX architecture upgrade; (ii)perceptive reward, provided by a novel attribute-aware reward model (Garment-RM) trained on 500K images via fine-grained contrastive learning, achieving 84.67% human preference accuracy; and (iii)hacking prevention, enforced by our Adversarial-Regularized GRPO (AR-GRPO) strategy that integrates a dynamic discriminator into the RL sampling trajectory to penalize artifacts while enriching authentic high-frequency details.

AlphaGRPO: Unlocking Self-Reflective Multimodal Generation in UMMs via Decompositional Verifiable Reward

In this paper, we propose AlphaGRPO, a novel framework that applies Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) to AR-Diffusion Unified Multimodal Models (UMMs) to enhance multimodal generation capabilities without an additional cold-start stage. Our approach unlocks the model's intrinsic potential to perform advanced reasoning tasks: Reasoning Text-to-Image Generation, where the model actively infers implicit user intents, and Self-Reflective Refinement, where it autonomously diagnoses and corrects misalignments in generated outputs. To address the challenge of providing stable supervision for real-world multimodal generation, we introduce the Decompositional Verifiable Reward (DVReward). Unlike holistic scalar rewards, DVReward utilizes an LLM to decompose complex user requests into atomic, verifiable semantic and quality questions, which are then evaluated by a general MLLM to provide reliable and interpretable feedback. Extensive experiments demonstrate that AlphaGRPO yields robust improvements across multimodal generation benchmarks, including GenEval, TIIF-Bench, DPG-Bench and WISE, while also achieving significant gains in editing tasks on GEdit without training on editing tasks. These results validate that our self-reflective reinforcement approach effectively leverages inherent understanding to guide high-fidelity generation. KVPO: ODE-Native GRPO for Autoregressive Video Alignment via KV Semantic Exploration

Aligning streaming autoregressive (AR) video generators with human preferences is challenging. Existing reinforcement learning methods predominantly rely on noise-based exploration and SDE-based surrogate policies that are mismatched to the deterministic ODE dynamics of distilled AR models, and tend to perturb low-level appearance rather than the high-level semantic storyline progression critical for long-horizon coherence. To address these limitations, we present KVPO, an ODE-native online Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) framework for aligning streaming video generators. For diversity exploration, KVPO introduces a causal-semantic exploration paradigm that relocates the source of variation from stochastic noise to the historical KV cache. By stochastically routing historical KV entries, it constructs semantically diverse generation branches that remain strictly on the data manifold. For policy modeling, KVPO introduces a velocity-field surrogate policy based on Trajectory Velocity Energy (TVE), which quantifies branch likelihood in flow-matching velocity space and yields a reward-weighted contrastive objective fully consistent with the native ODE formulation. Experiments on multiple distilled AR video generators demonstrate consistent gains in visual quality, motion quality, and text-video alignment across both single-prompt short-video and multi-prompt long-video settings.

DiffuCoder: Understanding and Improving Masked Diffusion Models for Code Generation

Diffusion large language models (dLLMs) are compelling alternatives to autoregressive (AR) models because their denoising models operate over the entire sequence. The global planning and iterative refinement features of dLLMs are particularly useful for code generation. However, current training and inference mechanisms for dLLMs in coding are still under-explored. To demystify the decoding behavior of dLLMs and unlock their potential for coding, we systematically investigate their denoising processes and reinforcement learning (RL) methods. We train a 7B dLLM, DiffuCoder, on 130B tokens of code. Using this model as a testbed, we analyze its decoding behavior, revealing how it differs from that of AR models: (1) dLLMs can decide how causal their generation should be without relying on semi-AR decoding, and (2) increasing the sampling temperature diversifies not only token choices but also their generation order. This diversity creates a rich search space for RL rollouts. For RL training, to reduce the variance of token log-likelihood estimates and maintain training efficiency, we propose coupled-GRPO, a novel sampling scheme that constructs complementary mask noise for completions used in training. In our experiments, coupled-GRPO significantly improves DiffuCoder's performance on code generation benchmarks (+4.4\% on EvalPlus) and reduces reliance on AR causal during decoding. Our work provides deeper insight into the machinery of dLLM generation and offers an effective, diffusion-native RL training framework. https://github.com/apple/ml-diffucoder.

GroundAnything: Reconciling Parallel Decoding with Precise Visual Grounding at Flash Speed

Autoregressive (AR) grounding models serialize spatial predictions, introducing sequential latency and imposing a causal order on output tokens. We view grounding as visual evidence extraction: objects, locations, and spatial relations are jointly constrained by the image and query, yet their dependencies do not imply an intrinsic left-to-right generation order. This distinction makes bidirectional diffusion a natural fit, allowing spatial hypotheses to emerge in parallel and be jointly refined through iterative denoising. We introduce GroundAnything, a 4B-parameter grounding foundation model that reconciles fast parallel decoding with precise localization through blockwise denoising. Training combines grounding pretraining from public datasets and dedicated data engines, direct AR-to-diffusion conversion with joint AR and diffusion objectives, supervised fine-tuning, and GRPO-based reinforcement post-training. Across 30 grounding benchmarks, our autoregressive variant, GroundAnything-VLM, establishes a new overall state of the art among similarly sized models at 72.42%, remaining competitive with GPT-6 Astra (71.35%). With entropy-guided decoding, GroundAnything also surpasses the prior state of the art at this scale, averaging 61.75% versus 53.32% for the fast MTP-based LocateAnything model. We further explore decoding strategies, showing that an optional self-speculative mode achieves a 4.51times speedup over the AR counterpart with a 0.74 percentage-point drop in COCO F1mIoU. Infrastructure experiments show that progressive inference optimizations translate parallel decoding into practical speedups. These support efficient visual grounding in latency-sensitive real-world systems.
