+**Release 4.0 (20 October 2026).** Every answer's route is now spelled as a word over the 22 paths of the three-tree runtime, and two numbers are kept for it: k, the number of steps, and L, the time it took. A question that did not form an answer is written to a hash-chained residue ledger, typed by the node where it stopped. An answer with nothing under it (no citation, proof or checked route) no longer becomes conversation state. Walks already made are recalled instead of walked again. Pronouns: when the chain cannot resolve a follow-up's pronoun, the previous cited answer is put in its place and the question is asked once more, and the reply says so ("Taking 'its' as Japan, from my previous answer."). This repository did not receive release 3.2 when the slim one did; 4.0 carries it (proved specialists as a cross-check, four star specialists, owner-first; see the slim repository's 3.2 note). The full 3.2 missed two sealed tests: sealed test 23 (three false yeses against a bar of two) and sealed test 24 (one format defect: a speed asked in km/h answered in m/h). Three guards were added after sealed test 23 (w556): owner-first may not return a stored fact for a question that gives no numbers; a negative amount of something that cannot be negative is withheld; arithmetic is not read from a sentence. A fourth guard (evidence must name what the question names) lost right answers on every form measured and is not included; the two sealed-23 errors it was aimed at stay open. Release test, PI4-B (186 turns, sealed before the code froze, run once): 157 right, 26 declined, 3 of 30 should-decline questions answered (false yeses); every answer to an answerable question was right.
