Inspired by Tiny Agents in JS from @julien-c , we ported the idea to Python and integrated it directly into

Important notice 🚨
For Inference Providers who have built support for our Billing API (currently: Fal, Novita, HF-Inference – with more coming soon), we've started enabling Pay as you go (=PAYG)
What this means is that you can use those Inference Providers beyond the free included credits, and they're charged to your HF account.
You can see it on this view: any provider that does not have a "Billing disabled" badge, is PAYG-compatible.

- public storage is free, and (unless blatant abuse) unlimited. We do ask that you consider upgrading to PRO and/or Enterprise Hub if possible
- private storage is paid above a significant free tier (1TB if you have a paid account, 100GB otherwise)

I am delighted to announce the publication of my LegalKit, a French labeled dataset built for legal ML training 🤗
This dataset comprises multiple query-document pairs (+50k) curated for training sentence embedding models within the domain of French law.
The labeling process follows a systematic approach to ensure consistency and relevance:
- Initial Query Generation: Three instances of the LLaMA-3-70B model independently generate three different queries based on the same document.
- Selection of Optimal Query: A fourth instance of the LLaMA-3-70B model, using a dedicated selection prompt, evaluates the generated queries and selects the most suitable one.
- Final Label Assignment: The chosen query is used to label the document, aiming to ensure that the label accurately reflects the content and context of the original text.
Dataset: louisbrulenaudet/legalkit

Today is a huge day in Argilla’s history. We couldn’t be more excited to share this with the community: we’re joining Hugging Face!
We’re embracing a larger mission, becoming part of a brilliant and kind team and a shared vision about the future of AI.
Over the past year, we’ve been collaborating with Hugging Face on countless projects: launching partner of Docker Spaces, empowering the community to clean Alpaca translations into Spanish and other languages, launching argilla/notus-7b-v1 building on Zephyr’s learnings, the Data is Better Together initiative with hundreds of community contributors, or releasing argilla/OpenHermesPreferences, one of the largest open preference tuning datasets
After more than 2,000 Slack messages and over 60 people collaborating for over a year, it already felt like we were part of the same team, pushing in the same direction. After a week of the smoothest transition you can imagine, we’re now the same team.
To those of you who’ve been following us, this won’t be a huge surprise, but it will be a big deal in the coming months. This acquisition means we’ll double down on empowering the community to build and collaborate on high quality datasets, we’ll bring full support for multimodal datasets, and we’ll be in a better place to collaborate with the Open Source AI community. For enterprises, this means that the Enterprise Hub will unlock highly requested features like single sign-on and integration with Inference Endpoints.
As a founder, I am proud of the Argilla team. We're now part of something bigger and a larger team but with the same values, culture, and goals. Grateful to have shared this journey with my beloved co-founders Paco and Amélie.
Finally, huge thanks to the Chief Llama Officer @osanseviero for sparking this and being such a great partner during the acquisition process.

Hey everyone! After my last post getting a sense of people's interest in crafting their own datasets, I'm excited to share a major project I've been developing—the Vodalus Expert LLM Forge.

This is a 100% locally LLM-powered tool designed to facilitate high-quality dataset generation. It utilizes free open-source tools so you can keep everything private and within your control. After considerable thought and debate (this project is the culmination of my few years of learning/experimenting), I've decided to open-source the entire stack. My hope is to elevate the standard of datasets and democratize access to advanced data-handling tools. There shouldn't be so much mystery to this part of the process.
Why Open Source?
My hope is to empower individuals everywhere to generate their own high-quality data. By making these tools freely available, I hope this community can start crafting their own models with little to no money and/or experience, helping to improve data quality and innovation across the board. We release Idefics2-8B, a foundation vision language model with SOTA results for its size on many benchmarks.
For Idefics2, we adopted a simple architecture:
-Images are fed to a vision encoder, then to a modality projection to match the input dimension of the LLM, and finally to a perceiver resampler for efficient pooling.
-Interleaved image-text data are then passed to the LLM.
During the pre-training:
-The modality projection and perceiver resampler weights are newly initialized.
-We start with pre-trained models for the vision encoder and the LLM, and continue the training with LoRA.
-In total, we see 1.5T images!
We pre-train on 3 types of data, all publicly available:
-Interleaved image-text documents: our dataset OBELICS HuggingFaceM4/OBELICS
-Image caption pairs: only synthetic captions!
-PDF documents: IDL and PDFA
We kept the aspect ratio of the images with the Patch n' Pack strategy, with a resolution of up to 980x980.
At inference, it's also more efficient for lower-resolution images.
For the SFT, we build The Cauldron, a collection of 50 high-quality datasets in the user/assistant format.
It is a ready-to-use dataset for the fine-tuning of any VLM.

Most current models, like LLaVA-NeXT, encode images with an excessive number of tokens, like 2880.
Instead, we put a focus on being efficient at inference by training on a mix of images encoded with 64 tokens, and 320 tokens.
The result is that we perform favorably compared to the best models in our size class, while being efficient at inference.

⚡ AutoQuant
AutoQuant is the evolution of my previous AutoGGUF notebook (https://colab.research.google.com/drive/1P646NEg33BZy4BfLDNpTz0V0lwIU3CHu). It allows you to quantize your models in five different formats:
- GGUF: perfect for inference on CPUs (and LM Studio)
- GPTQ/EXL2: fast inference on GPUs
- AWQ: super fast inference on GPUs with vLLM (https://github.com/vllm-project/vllm)
- HQQ: extreme quantization with decent 2-bit and 3-bit models
Once the model is converted, it automatically uploads it on the Hugging Face Hub. To quantize a 7B model, GGUF only needs a T4 GPU, while the other methods require an A100 GPU.
Here's an example of a model I quantized using HQQ and AutoQuant: mlabonne/AlphaMonarch-7B-2bit-HQQ

🐰 Happy ML Easter! 🐰
I recently had a wager with my colleagues which had me create AI-assisted videos of myself in an Easter Bunny costume singing an AI-generated easter song (in different languages).
I did it in 3 simple steps:
🐇I created an easter Bunny version of myself with this space: multimodalart/Ip-Adapter-FaceID by @multimodalart
🎶 Created a song on suno.ai
🎞️ Used the Dreamtalk space by @fffiloni to animate the image, conditioned on the song: fffiloni/dreamtalk
