Most-replayed is a real signal, used carefully

YouTube publishes a most-replayed graph for many videos, an aggregate of where
thousands of people scrubbed back. Where it exists, Clips Kitty reads it and lets
the very top of that curve nudge a moment up the ranking.

Only the sharpest peaks earn anything, and the bonus is capped below
what the video's own content can score. Replay spikes also mark confusing bits
people rewound to understand, and intros people skip back to, which is exactly why
it informs the decision rather than making it.

One thing worth knowing about codecs

YouTube serves much of its catalogue in AV1, which almost no consumer GPU decodes
in hardware. Left alone, that made processing take roughly twice as long, because every
analysis pass and every render paying for software decoding.

Clips Kitty asks for H.264 instead, and converts once up front if it ends up with
something slow. You do not have to know any of this; it is here because "why is
YouTube slower than Twitch" is a fair question with a real answer.

Posting the Shorts back

Shorts need nothing special on the way out: no separate mode and no hashtag.
YouTube decides a video is a Short from its shape and length by itself. Export the
clips and upload them however you normally would.

If uploading a dozen by hand is the part you dread, Clips Kitty can post them for
you. Write the title once and a clip goes to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook,
X, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Bluesky together, or a whole batch goes out
spread over a few days so nothing looks like spam. It runs through WoopSocial or
Upload-Post on your own account, which is the one part of the app that is not
local, and it stays off until you switch it on.
