[NOTICKET] docs(report): flag report DB-writes as transitional (Go to own — #7/#18)
Add an in-code marker at the report persistence site: per the 2026-06-25 checkpoint Go is to own all writes to reports/analyses and the report becomes a content-only skill. Until Go exposes the write endpoints, Python still self-persists (_store.save + _record_report_on_state). Comment-only; flags #7/#18 so the gap is visible in code, not just DEV_PLAN. [KM-680] feat(report): markdown section separators + inline emphasis in summary
- Render a horizontal rule (---) between the header and each report section so it reads as a formal, sectioned document. - Relax report_summary.md: the executive summary MAY use inline **bold**/*italic* for emphasis (kept no-headings/no-bullets so it doesn't duplicate the section structure or Key Findings). - Tables / bold (method labels) / italic (meta + citations) were already emitted. Make the report read as a formal deliverable: - 'Appendix B — Method' -> 'How This Was Analyzed'; 'Caveats & Open Questions' -> 'Notes & Limitations' (clearer than 'Caveats'). - Keep 'EDA' (kept the recognised term) and move it up next to the findings. - Final outline: Objective -> Business Questions -> Executive Summary -> Key Findings -> EDA -> Notes & Limitations -> How This Was Analyzed. - Closes the #5 outline follow-up; DEV_PLAN #5 -> done. [KM-680] feat(report): show author display name (users.fullname)
The report header showed the raw user_id under 'generated by'. Resolve a real display name instead: - AnalysisReport gains user_name; generator renders 'by {user_name or user_id}'. - api/v1/report.py::_resolve_user_name reads users.fullname via AsyncSessionLocal, never-throw (missing user / read error -> None -> falls back to user_id so a report never fails on the name lookup). - Decision: resolve in Python (self-contained, unblocked); swap to a Go-passed display name later if preferred. - DEV_PLAN: #19 marked done; §6 decision resolved. [KM-679] fix(help): drop problem_statement refs after KM-652
KM-652 removed the problem_statement skill + problem_validated gate, but the Help skill still steered users to them. Update Help to the new contract: - help.py: _derive_available_actions => ask_analysis_question (always) + generate_report (only when ready); dropped the problem_validated branch and the define_problem_statement/refine_problem_statement actions. _format_state renders objective + business_questions (getattr-tolerant for the in-flight AnalysisState rename) instead of problem_validated. - help.md: bumped v1->v2; removed the validated-goal tier, collapsed to 3 tiers (orient -> close gaps -> report); field list now objective/business_questions; dropped /problem_statement; /generate report -> /report; examples rewritten. Trim the list_tools catalog (GET /api/v1/tools) to expose only the FE-callable skills /help + /report. Comment out (not delete) /problem-statement, /analyze-*, /check-*, /retrieve-* so they stay re-enableable; the underlying tools still run via the router/Planner and check_* is still served by Golang. Rifqi Hafizuddin +1: Claude Opus 4.82026-06-24 pivot: the analysis goal is now two user-entered fields (objective + business_questions) captured at onboarding with no agent validation, so the problem_statement skill and the problem_validated gate are removed (comment, don't delete). - Router: drop problem_statement from the Intent literal + intent_router.md (6->5 intents); comment the dispatch branch in chat_handler; remove /problem-statement from list_tools. problem_statement.py kept intact but unwired. - Gate: gate() neutered to a no-op; call site commented in chat_handler; enable_gate marked deprecated. report_floor drops the problem_validated precondition -> floor is now >=1 completed analysis only. - Docs: REPO_STATUS.md + DEV_PLAN.md updated. - Tests (local, gitignored): test_gate / test_chat_handler / test_readiness updated. [KM-674] feat(report): adapt report generator to objective + business_questions
Replace the report's frozen ProblemStatement stub (objective/target/scope) with the 2026-06-24 goal shape: objective + business_questions. Render Objective + numbered Business Questions sections plus a 'generated by {user}' line, and update the report_summary.md prompt accordingly. Make the report.py state->goal mapping tolerant (new fields if present, else fall back to legacy problem_statement) so the report works both before and after the AnalysisState migration lands.
