Docs: make the repo describe the system that actually shipped
Elliott Duke +1: Claude Opus 5The README led with an MVP banner announcing a deterministic mock embedder as the current state, with the real model as future work. That stopped being true a long time ago. Rewritten around what ships: the fine-tuned ResNet-101, the held-out results, the live demo, EMBEDDER=reid, and demo mode. It also claimed 19 tests; there are 106. Removed documentation for things that do not exist: - CNNEmbedder (never written; the real classes are Mock/HF/ReIDEmbedder) - backend/app/ml/detector.py (a module documented in detail but never built) - scripts.backfill_breeds (deleted earlier, still given as a command to run) CODEBASE_GUIDE documented that phantom detector while having no section for ml/breed.py, which does exist. Added one. .env.example advertised EMBEDDER=cnn, which is not a valid value, plus two settings absent from config entirely (EMBEDDER_MODEL, DETECTOR_ENABLED). Now lists mock|hf|reid with the REID_* and DEMO_MODE keys, and corrects MAX_IMAGE_MB and TOP_N to their real…79688a8
