Class 7 | Ch8: Comparing Quantities
Percentage=per hundred. x%=x/100.
Fraction to %: multiply by 100. % to fraction: divide by 100.
Profit=SP-CP (when SP>CP). Loss=CP-SP (when CP>SP).
Profit%=(Profit/CP)×100. Loss%=(Loss/CP)×100.
SP=CP×(100+Profit%)/100. SP=CP×(100-Loss%)/100.
Simple Interest: SI=(P×R×T)/100. Amount A=P+SI.
Example: CP=850, Profit=12%: SP=850×112/100=952.
CP=600, Loss=8%: SP=600×92/100=552.
45 as % of 180: (45/180)×100=25%.
SI on 5000 at 6% for 3 years: SI=(5000×6×3)/100=900. A=5900.
Profit% always on CP NOT SP. Time in YEARS for SI. Discount on MARKED PRICE.
