# Hope Research Group

**Field-first AI training data collection across the Caribbean and Latin America.**

Hope Research Group (HRG) collects speech, video, image, and text data for machine learning teams needing genuine regional coverage across 17 Caribbean and Latin American markets. Our main office has been in Jamaica since 1985. We collect for enterprise ML teams, frontier AI labs, vendor-network aggregators, and regional AI programs including Latam-GPT partner networks.

## What we specialize in

- **Caribbean creole languages:** Jamaican Patois, Trinidadian English Creole, Papiamento, Haitian Creole, Sranan Tongo, and Guyanese Creole. All documented as systematically under-represented in current LLM training corpora by the CreoleVal benchmark (Lent et al., 2024, TACL).
- **Regional Spanish and Portuguese variants:** Dominican Spanish, Mexican Spanish, Rioplatense Spanish, Andean Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and continental Latin American Spanish variants.
- **Under-represented facial data:** Afro-Caribbean, Indo-Caribbean, and mixed-heritage populations that are absent from most commercial evaluation datasets.
- **Consent-first workflow:** Every record has a real participant behind it, a signed consent form on file, and a chain of custody from recording device to final delivery.

Caribbean: Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Bahamas, Guyana, Suriname, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia, Grenada, Antigua, Saint Kitts, Cayman Islands.

Latin America: Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Panama, Costa Rica, and more.

## What we do not do

We do not run large-scale annotation platforms. We do not train models. We do not sell pre-collected data. Every engagement is a fresh field collection commissioned by a client, with delivery direct to the client's ingestion pipeline. For projects needing collection plus annotation at scale, we collect and hand off to your annotation partner.
