## The Issue You Saw
```
ImportError: cannot import name 'cached_download' from 'huggingface_hub'
```
**Status**: β
**FIXED** in updated `requirements.txt`
## What Was Fixed
```diff
- torch==2.0.1 β Too old
+ torch==2.1.1 β
Compatible
- sentence-transformers==2.2.2 β Incompatible
+ sentence-transformers==2.7.0 β
Latest stable
+ huggingface-hub==0.16.4 β
Pinned version
+ transformers==4.34.0 β
Added dependency
```
## How to Fix Your Installation
### π³ If Using Docker (Easiest)
```bash
cd "/Users/ssp/Downloads/SSP7/Claude folder/KnowledgeHut/POC1"
# Remove old image
docker-compose down
docker rmi graph-rag-chatbot
# Rebuild with fixed requirements
docker-compose up -d
# Done! Access at http://localhost:7860
```
### π If Using Python Directly
```bash
# Kill any running app (Ctrl+C)
# Option A: Fresh environment (recommended)
rm -rf venv
python -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate
pip install --upgrade pip setuptools wheel
pip install -r requirements.txt
export GROQ_API_KEY="your_key"
python app.py
# Option B: Update existing environment
source venv/bin/activate
pip install --upgrade -r requirements.txt
python app.py
```
### βοΈ If Using Hugging Face Spaces
```bash
# Push the updated requirements
git add requirements.txt
git commit -m "Fix: Update dependencies for compatibility"
git push
# HF Spaces rebuilds automatically
# Check the Space logs to verify success
```
## Verify the Fix
```bash
# Test each critical import
python << 'EOF'
print("Testing imports...")
from sentence_transformers import SentenceTransformer
print("β SentenceTransformer OK")
from groq import Groq
print("β Groq OK")
import networkx as nx
print("β NetworkX OK")
import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
print("β Matplotlib OK")
print("\nβ
All dependencies fixed!")
EOF
```
Expected output:
```
Testing imports...
β SentenceTransformer OK
β Groq OK
β NetworkX OK
β Matplotlib OK
β
All dependencies fixed!
```
## Quick Restart
### Docker
```bash
docker-compose restart
# or
docker-compose down && docker-compose up -d
```
### Python
```bash
# Kill the running process (Ctrl+C)
# Then restart:
python app.py
```
## Verify App Works
1. **Open browser**: http://localhost:7860
2. **Upload test file**:
```csv
Name,Role,Salary
Alice,Engineer,120000
Bob,Manager,110000
```
3. **Wait for "ready" status** (should be 5-10 seconds)
4. **View graph**: Click "π View Full Graph"
5. **Test chat**: Ask "Who is the highest paid?"
6. **Should respond**: "Based on the data, Alice is the highest paid..."
If all steps work β β
**You're fixed!**
## Troubleshooting
### Still getting ImportError?
```bash
# Clear pip cache and reinstall
pip cache purge
pip install --force-reinstall -r requirements.txt
python app.py
```
### "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'sentence_transformers'"
```bash
# Make sure you activated venv
source venv/bin/activate # Mac/Linux
# or
venv\Scripts\activate # Windows
# Then install
pip install -r requirements.txt
```
### "No module named 'flask'"
You forgot to activate venv:
```bash
source venv/bin/activate # Mac/Linux
# or
venv\Scripts\activate # Windows
pip install -r requirements.txt
```
### Model download slow on first run
This is **normal**! The embedding model is ~400MB and downloads once:
- β±οΈ First run: 30-60 seconds
- β±οΈ Subsequent: Instant
Just wait, don't restart.
### Port 7860 in use
```bash
# Option 1: Kill the process using port 7860
lsof -i :7860 # See what's using it
kill -9 <PID>
# Option 2: Use different port
PORT=8000 python app.py
# Then access: http://localhost:8000
```
