fix: use treeless clone (--filter=blob:none) so old base_commits are reachable
--depth=1 only fetches HEAD, making git checkout <old-sha> fail silently. Treeless clone fetches full commit graph but skips file blobs for unvisited trees — same network efficiency as shallow, works with any SHA.fe2c794
