fractal on a slider, and cosines priced against strokes
Verified signatureThe gif becomes the page's fourth slider (26 frames, 982 kB against 2.1 MB). New in 'the cost of detail': the same tile priced in a stroke basis at matched budget. Cosines win at every budget; strokes floor at 44 466 numbers and ceiling at IoU 0.77. Metaphors removed from every expander.54a5528 -
page weight: ~640 KB was stale, it is 4.6 MB

is it a fractal? — measurement, construction, and sources
Verified signatureNew expander answering the fractal question: box-counting per octave against smooth and Koch controls, dilation correlation, then a Weierstrass construction as a check on the ruler. Adds fractal.gif (fourth knob) and two stills. Source lines added to every expander that lacked one.9cd8a4b
