fix: restore gallery example picker with proper gr.update returns
SPP +1: Claude Sonnet 4.6The previous approach returned raw list values which Gradio 6.x may assign as the component value instead of unpacking. Now returns explicit gr.update(value=v) objects, and a single value (not a list) when there is only one input, matching Gradio's expected contract.
