fix: dark mode support β replace hardcoded white/light colours with CSS variablesβ
Safari on macOS/iOS applies system dark mode to Gradio, while custom CSS was hardcoding 'background: white' and light hex colours causing white islands on dark backgrounds. Changes: - Add color-scheme: light to :root (prevents browser auto-inversion of inputs) - Add @media (prefers-color-scheme: dark) block with adapted brand variables - Replace all hardcoded 'white', '#334155', '#64748b' etc with --wcc-surface, --wcc-text, --wcc-text-muted variables that resolve correctly in both modes - Chatbot, topic buttons, footer, input box, clear button all use variables Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>205d99f -
feat: add explicit keyword routes for summer reading, find-a-library, sunday/opening hoursβ
- 'summer reading'/'reading challenge' β summer-reading-challenge page (was falling through to _keyword_search, no source, 3 messy chunks) - 'find a library'/'library branches' etc β find-a-library page (was falling through to _keyword_search, no source) - 'sunday'/'opening hours'/'when do' β opening-hours page (was returning only 91w from LU page; now 231w with Sunday-specific data) All 32 topic navigator questions now grade A except 'book a computer' which is correctly B β that page is genuinely sparse (walk-in, no booking). fix: always include source URL in formatted page outputβ
The source block at the bottom of wiki files was being cut off by the token budget truncation, leaving _extract_source with nothing to find. The LLM then hallucinated a shortened URL (e.g. /libraries/printing-and-photocopying). Fix: parse last_crawled from YAML frontmatter, strip any inline source block from the truncated body, and append a guaranteed clean source block from frontmatter metadata after every _format_page call. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>6887f56 -
fix: remove duplicate source citation β LLM was adding its own + _extract_source added anotherβ
The system prompt was instructing the LLM to append 'Source: [title](URL)' while _extract_source() independently appended a second citation derived from the URL path. Removed the LLM instruction; _extract_source is now the sole citation generator with consistent title casing and freshness warnings. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>eefcc5a -
fix: return authoritative 'not on routes' response for unknown mobile library villagesβ
Prevents LLM hallucinating geographic proximity (e.g. 'Callow Hill' for 'Red Hill'). Response explains that Worcester city areas use fixed branches, and gives contacts for rural hamlets that may share a stop with a neighbouring village. content: update Libraries Unlocked β Redditch & Tenbury Wells now liveβ
Removes outdated 'planned for 2025' language for Redditch and Tenbury (both now live). Bewdley remains the pending location. Refresh crawl date. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>d5224bb -
fix: return short prompt when 'my village' named but no village specifiedβ
Prevents the full route calendar dump when user clicks 'Find my village's schedule' without yet naming a village β LLM was listing all 27 routes as 'examples'. Now returns a one-line prompt asking for the village name. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>4cff0da -
fix: word-boundary keyword matching + route priority fixes in service routerβ
- Use re.search(\b...\b) for all service keywords β prevents 'hire' matching inside 'Worcestershire' (shire contains hire as substring), which was causing almost every query to route to room hire - Add 'ebooks', 'audiobooks' plurals to eBook route - Add home delivery keywords β library-service-at-home page - Move Libraries Unlocked route before membership so queries like 'sign up for Libraries Unlocked' route to the right page - Remove 'community'/'social'/'connect' from wellbeing (too broad); keep 'warm welcome' and 'social prescribing' - All 32 topic navigator buttons now route to the correct wiki page Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>6901b75 -
fix: correct tomorrow/today mobile library village listingβ
- Fingerprint routes by village names not time strings β eliminates duplicate route entries caused by minor time-format differences - Deduplicate villages in today/tomorrow response (Kempsey has 4 stops but should appear once in a "which places" answer) - Fix littleworth.md malformed stop table (all stops collapsed into one cell during crawl) β now matches the correct 9-stop route - Response now lists all unique villages instead of a single example Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>2562218 -
feat: add device-specific Print Your Way setup steps (iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac)β
Each device now has inline numbered steps under Option 2 so the LLM can give actionable guidance without users needing to open a PDF. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>15a5be1 -
feat: topic navigator UI, real-time mobile tracking, and service data improvementsβ
UI β topic navigator replacing the sidebar: - Right panel rebuilt as 8-section topic navigator with 32 pre-written questions covering Mobile Library, Hours, Libraries Unlocked, Printing, Children, Books/Fees, Room Hire, and Support/Wellbeing - First section (Mobile Library) open on page load β no clicks needed for the most time-sensitive use case - All topic questions wire directly into the chat; click to ask, no typing - Quick question pills trimmed to 4 essentials (mobile becomes primary) - Right panel now visible on mobile (stacks below chat, not hidden) Real-time mobile library tracking: - "Where is the mobile library right now?" resolves to today's routes and matches current time against the full stop schedule - Shows: π’ currently at / π΅ next stop / β service complete - Full stop list stored per route (was limited to 6 preview stops) - Works for "currently", "at the moment", "where is the van" etc. - "Where is it right now?" added as first button in Mobile Library topicβ¦21bce3d -
