# Hugging Face publishing guide

Prepared for https://huggingface.co/openmodelweights . **Nothing in this package has been published to Hugging Face yet.** You need a signed-in organizational member with write permission.

## Step 1 — Organization settings

Check the organization's name, website URL (`https://openmodelweights.com/`), avatar and short description. Suggested interests/description: **Independent intelligence for open-weight AI.** Remove outdated public GitHub links, where present, and keep only contact `info@openmodelweights.com`. Do not invent any location, person or legal entity. Separately review whether team member handles/activity publicly reveal personal links.

## Step 2 — Organization card / README Space

Open https://huggingface.co/spaces/openmodelweights/README and sign in. In its **Files** tab, replace `README.md` with this package's `README.md`, and add `index.html` to the same Space repository. Commit both changes. The YAML block in `README.md` must be at the very top; it declares a static Space with `index.html` as its entry point.

**After saving, independently check both:**
- https://huggingface.co/openmodelweights — organization card and links
- https://huggingface.co/spaces/openmodelweights/README — static Space view

If Hugging Face rejects the static SDK setting for this special README Space, **do not delete the README Space** or change it to Private. Keep the organization card working; inspect its real configuration/error before adjusting Space settings.

## Step 3 — Create the two public organizational Collections

From https://huggingface.co/openmodelweights use **+ New → Collection** with an account that has write permission. Paste the titles/descriptions from `COLLECTIONS.md`, set visibility **Public**, add the linked model repository IDs as items, and add the short notes. Put these Collections first in the organization Collection ordering. The first two public collections can appear directly on an organization profile.

Do not reupload other publishers' model weights. The Collections point to the publishers' original repositories.

## Step 4 — Review

- Profile card visible, up to date, no stale GitHub link.
- Space page opens without configuration errors.
- Both Collections are public, filled with verified model links and visible on the organization page.
- All links to openmodelweights.com, X, RSS and contact work.
- No personal name, private address, operating location or internal implementation details added.
- Collections do not imply model ownership, independent performance testing or license approval.
