docs(plan): record checkpoint-layout findings from m1 smoke pass
Unverified signatureWhile running the M1 GPU smoke test on M5 Max we discovered three things not captured in the plan: 1. AceStepHandler._get_project_root() ignores the project_root arg passed to initialize_service() and uses os.path.dirname(os.path.dirname(__file__)) instead — i.e. the site-packages dir. Workaround: symlink .venv/lib/python3.11/site-packages/checkpoints → ./checkpoints so the hardcoded path resolves to our project tree. 2. The handler expects two distinct checkpoint trees: - Umbrella ACE-Step/Ace-Step1.5 (~10 GB) supplies vae, Qwen3-Embedding-0.6B, acestep-v15-turbo, acestep-5Hz-lm-1.7B, and a top-level config.json. These are required regardless of which variant you actually run. - Variant repo (e.g. ACE-Step/acestep-v15-xl-sft, ~16 GB) supplies the specific DiT model weights. 3. ACE-Step/acestep-5Hz-lm-0.6B (~1.4 GB) is a separate repo from the umbrella's acestep-5Hz-lm-1.7B. We use 0.6B for faster Mac inference; both are valid lm_model_…23509d8 -
docs(plan): record acestep api correction at task c1
Unverified signatureThe plan's Task C1 originally assumed a clean 'from ace_step import ACEStepPipeline' / from_pretrained pattern. That entry point does not exist in the installed acestep package (apple-silicon fork or upstream). Real API is the AceStepHandler + LLMHandler + generate_music three-tuple, wrapped by ace_pipeline.ACEStepStudio. The original code snippet in Task C1 is preserved for historical context but readers should consult the live ace_pipeline.py (commit 99375d0) for the canonical implementation.317bd6f -

docs(plan): add wireframe compliance section + correct task b3
Unverified signatureAdds a new "⚠ WIREFRAME COMPLIANCE" section between parts G and H that codifies the UI architecture rules so future implementers cannot regress to gr.Tabs. Key rules: - Mockups at docs/superpowers/specs/mockups/ are the visual source of truth — if prose and mockups disagree, mockups win. - Forbidden: gr.Tabs / gr.Tab for mode navigation; top-positioned mode nav at >= 1024 px; hardcoded hex outside theme.py. - Required: gr.Row(.ams-body) containing gr.Column(.ams-sidebar) with gr.Radio re-skinned as vertical pills, and gr.Column(.ams-content) with 5 gr.Group panes whose visibility is toggled by radio change. - gr.Radio is required (not gr.Button) so the native :checked pseudo-class supplies the active-item highlight via CSS. - Inside each pane: two-column body (form left, output right) per the mockups. - Accordion disclosure rules locked: LoRA, Advanced, LM planner, DCW all collapsed by default. - Sidebar History block (in-memory only for v1, per spec §13). - Responsive b…c86ad91
