I notice there is some over-reaction when anything is posted about DavidAu work. I used his models. I do not hate them, but mentioning his lack of transparency overall ruffles some feathers on some weak minded people. I do not know if they silly teens with way too much time and money on their hands, but I could care a rat's ass. But to prove is not just for critique's sake, I will say that one of DavidAu's qwen 3.8 hacky finetunes gave me some Javascript and CSS styles I liked very much over the base results. Still, getting better consistent quality outputs is another matter altogether.

This was a thoughtful and very reasonably written post. I agree that community made model's finetunes should compete on the same standardized benchmarks as the "big boys' for the contributions to be actually meaningful. I am curious about his incessant, almost obsessive approach. Hopefully reason over feelings triumph at the end. I wish him success because we need this kind "the sky is the limit" spirit in this community, but it is unjustified to silence reasonable voices like yours. Hopefully we are not supporting a megalomaniac with high pretensions and something materializes sooner or later. Maybe he just saw your post and had a bad day. Post on reddit. Your critical reasoning should resonate with other people there without fearing getting banned for posting logical questions.
