About Us

Brigham Young University-Idaho ((BYU–Idaho)) was founded and is supported and guided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Its mission is to develop disciples of Jesus Christ who are leaders in their homes, the Church, and their communities.

The university does this by:

• Building testimonies of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and fostering its principles in a wholesome academic, cultural, and social environment.
• Providing a high-quality education that prepares students of diverse interests and abilities for lifelong learning and employment.
• Serving as many students as possible within resource constraints.
• Delivering education that is affordable for students and the Church.

Artificial Intelligence

At BYU-Idaho, we are strategically integrating Artificial Intelligence to enhance academic excellence and prepare our students for an evolving world. Our focus is on three core priorities that empower both students and faculty in the age of AI.

1. Advance Knowledge & Enhance Learning: Build AI literacy to strengthen learning, teaching, and working across campus
2. Develop Workforce Readiness: Prepare graduates to succeed with practical AI skills needed for the future of work
3. Facilitate Student Support & Advising: Expand personalized support through AI-powered guidance and resources

We publish carefully curated, domain-specific datasets derived from public BYU–Idaho resources to support research, development, and experimentation with campus-oriented AI systems. These datasets are primarily intended for internal R&D use or AI agent orchestration across support services.
