Question about the license scope of mmh3-4b-ClipProj-v3.1-mlp.safetensors
Hello NicoLab28, and thank you for publishing ClipProj.
I am an individual creator in Japan. I am evaluating mmh3-4b-ClipProj-v3.1-mlp.safetensors for private, local use with MiniMax H3 in ComfyUI.
If testing is successful, I may use this setup to create original video works that will be published on YouTube, including monetized channels. I do not intend to redistribute or sell the ClipProj weights themselves.
I understand that the repository is marked as MIT, but the documentation also notes that the legal status of the projection matrices is unclear and describes them as being provided for research/as-is.
Could you please clarify your intent as the author:
Do you intend mmh3-4b-ClipProj-v3.1-mlp.safetensors to be licensed under MIT for this kind of commercial use β specifically, local use to create original videos that may be published on a monetized YouTube channel?
I also found a related open discussion in the Comfy-Org MiniMax-H3 repository concerning redistribution and the MiniMax H3 Community License, but I could not find a response that clearly resolves the underlying licensing question. Since my intended use is local generation rather than redistribution of the weights, I wanted to confirm the intended license scope of your ClipProj matrix directly with you.
If possible, I would also appreciate clarification on which exact 32B encoder was used as the teacher for v3.1 and the provenance of the training data used for the matrix. This part is optional.
I am not asking for legal advice; I only want to confirm your intent as the author and distributor.
Thank you very much.
