What and why

How it was checked

• npm run lint and npm test pass in frontend/
• npm run test:e2e passes (it also runs the accessibility audit and the every-control gate)
• New or changed controls carry a tid (test id) and are exercised by a test
• Screens look right in light and dark, on a phone width and on desktop
• Docs (README, backend/README.md) updated if behaviour or setup changed
