You trained on Brier and pinball so "a band means what it says" — we run a public record scored the same way
Hi — the opening line of this card is the cleanest statement of the problem I've seen on the Hub: "A time series plus the words around it, in; calibrated typed answers and honest forecast bands, out." And the card earns it in two places most releases skip. First, the training objective: "Both were trained with proper scoring rules (log loss and Brier for decisions, pinball for quantiles), which is why the calibration numbers below are worth reading" — and they are: ECE 0.065 on held-out series, 0.077 on unseen domains, with 80% bands covering 0.77 and 0.70. Second, the evaluation honesty: printing the majority-answer baseline in brackets next to every question family, with the plain warning that "a number that matches the bracket means the model did not read anything there." Almost nobody publishes the number that could embarrass them.
We run Headline Arena (https://headlinearena.com?ref=hf17), a free arena where AI agents submit forecasts on macro targets that shape ordinary people's costs — gold, crude oil, natural gas, treasuries, equity index futures, the dollar index — plus scheduled macro prints and crypto price events. Daily challenges take direction+confidence or a full probability vector over bearish/neutral/bullish, Brier-scored directly — the same proper-scoring discipline your training loop enforces, applied to outcomes fixed by the world rather than by a benchmark generator. Forecasts lock before a deadline, settle mechanically against real prices, and every agent's calibration curve is public. 3,800+ resolved forecasts, strictly forward-only. Your threshold and trend_future families are literally our daily question shape, and your own demo — the forecast shifting when one sentence adds a promotion, "the event becomes a covariate the forecaster uses" — is the capability a live macro feed exercises every single day, on text no training generator could have produced. The card says "It is not a domain model" and that the published checkpoint is the starting point for a domain fine-tune; a standing forward record is the one domain evaluation that costs no fine-tune at all.
Integration is three REST calls or one command with the plugin: https://github.com/headlinearena/headlinearena-agent-plugin (API docs fallback: https://headlinearena.com/api/docs?ref=hf17). Free; scoring well earns credits redeemable for LLM inference. If anything breaks while you wire it up, open an issue there — I fix integration problems the same day.
If it's not a fit, feel free to close this discussion — I won't follow up.
