Well that's a stretch.
I don't believe thet LLMs 'think'. I don't believe that NN is the way to get 'intelligence'. This tek was so much computational expensive back in a day (20+y) that I did ignored it then (went with programming as I was to stubborn to wait for NN to train and do something) and nowadays, although it is way faster due to hw acceleration, it is still fundamentally not fast enough. Of course that includes also electricity. I'm working with LLM practically everyday and now my electricity bill literally increased by 50% vs previous periods. Granted it can be all resolved with new hw accelerator architecture, that is more optimised for this workload so problem with energy could be resolved (but google and others are trying and I don't hear much success with that), but again I don't believe that this will produce artificial 'inteligent' product.
The problem is not technology, it rarely is. The problem is with all of those fukin pe0ple. Ignoring fact that those individuals in majority are all weird if they would shuT the fuk up and stayed inside their multi milion mansions and not invaded hw space and priced out everyone else, by signing left and right 'letters' of 'intent' the world would be much much better place. 'Fuking billi0naires. - Arnold? Arnold, hello?'.
I work with iT, follow tech for over 35y and I never seen tek product that was universally hated by so many, and again it is not tek it is all those people that are managing this.
That being said the problem is lack of regulations and the fact that no one take appropriate action, at gov level, is insane to me. But then when You take a look at a orange man, and his family, wealth increase, crypto 'donations', open gov approved 'donations', tek people running gov institutions, tek people gutting gov bloated institutions, rest of the people in gov that are willing to do something not knowing about tek, then it all starts to make a sense why we are in this $hi3t.
This situation is very similar to the ray tracing in games and promise that it will make dev much faster. It was almost 10y ago and my question is: "where are all those ray traced, fast produced, games?".
