Three Ducks, One Beat

An original 20-second performance for MicroDuck Got a Talent.

Officially entered and performed for the full 20 seconds. Watch the official run. Audience voting starts at zero; no ranking improvement is claimed.

Three ducks trade short melodies, sit and rise in a wave, then sing in harmony and bow together. The timeline, note sequences, head movements, voices and placements were authored for this entry by Muhammadsafi with Codex assistance.

Performance

  • 1.5–7.1 seconds: each duck answers with its own four-note phrase while the others turn towards it.
  • 7.6–11.4 seconds: a sitting wave moves across the trio; they stand again in reverse order.
  • 11.8–16.9 seconds: five three-part chords with gentle head movement.
  • 16.6–19.4 seconds: a shared bow and a quiet closing chord.

timeline.json uses Arena timeline version 2. All three ducks use self, the same reference controller, with different placements and commands. The music is a short original arrangement; no recording or lyrics are included.

Controller and credit

The neural-network weights are unchanged from Pollen Robotics' reference model. This entry adds an original performance; it does not claim new policy training.

Pollen Robotics created the robot, simulator, reference controller and performance system. Its source model card contains the original training details. The source declares no license; this repository does not add one.

Validation

The complete three-duck simulation played for 20 seconds using Arena runner 4. All three ducks completed it without triggering the Arena's fall rule. Their seated durations were 3.22, 2.34 and 1.44 seconds, corresponding to the staggered wave. The local replay was visually inspected. local-evaluation.json contains the measured result and file hashes.

The event ranks performances by audience votes, not by simulated duration or stability. This validation does not predict votes or rank. Simulation only; this choreography has not been tested on a physical robot.
