To reinforce western values? If they framed it as reinforce universal values, it may at least make a tiny bit of sense. But western values? I can only interpret this as a sarcasm. They're exactly telling a joke about how arrogant, ignorant, and hilarious westerners can be, and they did convey that message well. It made me laugh.
