النطاق | Scope

المرحلة 5: التحقق الرسمي + ختم WORM
Phase 5: Formal Verification + WORM Sealing

This phase completes the syscall OS by:

  • Documenting formal verification requirements
  • Specifying Blake3 integration for trust/WORM
  • Integration testing checklist
  • Production deployment guide

Note: Actual Lean 4 proofs and Blake3 library integration are left as future work (requires kernel build environment).

التحقق الرسمي | Formal Verification

Verification Targets | أهداف التحقق

  1. Intent Schema Correctness

    • SystemIntent struct layout matches Haskell Intent type
    • IntentResult struct layout matches Haskell PolicyDecision
    • No padding mismatches (alignment violations)
  2. Ring Buffer Safety

    • No race conditions (SPSC lock-free correctness)
    • Memory barriers enforce visibility
    • Wraparound arithmetic correct (mask = capacity - 1)
    • No buffer overflows
  3. Policy Engine Soundness

    • Resource allocation never exceeds system limits
    • Priority enforcement monotonic (CRITICAL > HIGH > NORMAL > BG)
    • Error recovery terminates (no infinite loops)
    • Trust verification rejects invalid nonces
  4. FFI Marshalling Correctness

    • marshalIntent preserves all fields
    • unmarshalDecision writes valid C structs
    • Null pointer handling safe

Formal Methods Roadmap | خريطة طريق الأساليب الرسمية

Phase 5a: Lean 4 Specifications (Future)

-- Intent schema invariants
theorem intent_schema_size :
  sizeof SystemIntent = 2048 := by sorry

theorem intent_type_bounds (t : IntentType) :
  0x01 ≤ t.toNat ∧ t.toNat ≤ 0x08 := by sorry

-- Ring buffer properties
theorem ring_spsc_correctness :
  ∀ (ring : RingBuffer),
    single_producer ring →
    single_consumer ring →
    no_races ring := by sorry

Phase 5b: Coq Proofs (Future)

(* Policy engine termination *)
Theorem error_recovery_terminates :
  forall ctx intent retries,
    retries < 3 ->
    exists strategy,
      selectRecoveryStrategy ctx intent retries = strategy /\
      (strategy = GracefulFail \/ strategy = RetryImmediate).

Phase 5c: TLA+ Model Checking (Future)

(* Worker thread liveness *)
THEOREM WorkerEventuallyProcesses ==
  []<>(IntentSubmitted => <>IntentProcessed)

Blake3 Integration | تكامل Blake3

Trust Nonce (Phase 5 Complete)

Current (Phase 4 stub):

/* Simple XOR hash */
hash ^= intent->intent_type;
hash ^= intent->priority;

Phase 5 (libblake3):

#include <blake3.h>

static void generate_trust_nonce(const struct SystemIntent *intent,
                                  uint8_t *nonce_out)
{
    blake3_hasher hasher;
    blake3_hasher_init(&hasher);

    /* Hash intent fields */
    blake3_hasher_update(&hasher, &intent->intent_type, 4);
    blake3_hasher_update(&hasher, &intent->priority, 4);
    blake3_hasher_update(&hasher, intent->goal_schema,
                        strlen(intent->goal_schema));
    blake3_hasher_update(&hasher, &intent->timestamp_ns, 8);

    /* Finalize */
    blake3_hasher_finalize(&hasher, nonce_out, 32);
}

WORM Seal (Phase 5 Complete)

Kernel (ring_buffer_complete):

/* Compute WORM seal: Blake3(intent || result || timestamp) */
blake3_hasher hasher;
blake3_hasher_init(&hasher);
blake3_hasher_update(&hasher, &entry->intent, sizeof(entry->intent));
blake3_hasher_update(&hasher, &result, sizeof(result));

uint64_t seal_timestamp = ktime_get_ns();
blake3_hasher_update(&hasher, &seal_timestamp, 8);

blake3_hasher_finalize(&hasher, result.worm_seal, 32);

Haskell (TrustVerifier.hs):

import Crypto.Hash.Blake3 (hash)

computeExpectedNonce :: Intent -> BS.ByteString
computeExpectedNonce intent =
    let payload = encodeIntent intent -- Binary encoding
    in hash payload -- Blake3 hash

اختبار التكامل | Integration Testing

Test Matrix | مصفوفة الاختبار

Test Phase 1-4 Phase 5
Intent struct size ✅ Pass ⏳ Verify FFI
Ring buffer SPSC ✅ Pass ⏳ Load test
Router priority ✅ Pass ⏳ Stress test
Policy engine ⏳ Manual ⏳ HSpec suite
Userspace API ⏳ Manual ⏳ Integration
Blake3 nonce ❌ Stub ⏳ Real hash
WORM seal ❌ Stub ⏳ Real hash

Integration Test Plan | خطة اختبار التكامل

Test 1: End-to-End Intent Flow

# 1. Load kernel module
sudo insmod kernel-module/asos_kar.ko

# 2. Run hello_asos
./userspace/examples/hello_asos

# 3. Check dmesg
dmesg | grep "KAR Dispatcher"

# Expected:
# KAR Dispatcher: received intent type=7 priority=1 from PID=1234
# KAR Worker 0: processing intent type=7 agent=5

Test 2: WORM Write Verification

# 1. Run write_worm example
./userspace/examples/write_worm

# 2. Verify WORM seal
# Expected: 32-byte Blake3 hash printed

# 3. Replay attack test (submit same intent twice)
# Expected: Second submission rejected (trust nonce fail)

Test 3: Priority Preemption

# 1. Submit 100 BACKGROUND intents
# 2. Submit 1 CRITICAL intent
# 3. Verify CRITICAL processed first
# Expected: Worker 0 processes CRITICAL immediately
