Is this open source or not?

What is the license for this? Why the hell you guys call it open source? STOP CHANGING THE MEANING OF OPEN SOURCE FOR GOD SAKE!

Hi there, hello! ^^/ I'm happy to inform you that the project maintainers have kindly changed the license to MIT! :D

I understand and share the concern. Some big companies have been doing this kind of open-source washing intentionally (like Meta did with their Llama models), but in cases where licensing decisions are made just by the devs, as seems to be the case here, I've often found that unclear license terms are usually just mistakes (a lack of familiarity with open-source licensing), rather than an intention to mislead.

That's why I think posts like this one are very important, and I appreciate you bringing attention to it! :)

Thank you so much <3

The pipeline config has "briaai/RMBG-2.0" for background removal , which does not have a oss/commercial licence and cant be downloaded without agreeing to licence terms first.
Changing to other options like ZhengPeng7/BiRefNet lets one run the pipeline fine, but this might lead to confusion for people who want to run this naively.
