University Person

Connecting people across universities.

Behind every university are people with ideas, questions and experiences worth sharing. University Person is an independent community initiative bringing together students, researchers, educators, university staff and alumni across disciplines, institutions and countries.

Our aim is simple: make it easier to meet people with shared interests, learn from different perspectives and find collaborators for meaningful projects.

What we are building

• Connections across campuses: Exchange experiences with people beyond your own university.
• Project collaboration: Share project ideas, describe the skills you can contribute and explore opportunities to work together.
• Shared learning: Exchange useful resources, practical knowledge and lessons from university life.
• Open tools and experiments: Develop and discuss community-built Spaces, educational applications and reproducible AI experiments on Hugging Face.

Community status: Getting started. Activities and tools will be introduced as they become available. This profile does not yet provide an automated member directory or matching service.

Start a conversation

In the discussion area of a relevant community repository or Space, you can introduce yourself with:

• Your field of study, research or work.
• A topic or project you are interested in.
• What you would like to learn, share or build with others.

Share only the personal information you are comfortable making public. Naming your institution is optional; never post student IDs, private contact details or confidential research material.

How we work together

Be respectful and curious. Welcome people from different backgrounds and career stages. Credit others' contributions, respect licenses and research confidentiality, and describe the limitations of shared tools and AI-generated outputs. Participation should be voluntary and free from harassment or unsolicited promotion.

Independent and transparent

University Person is a privately organized community initiative, not a university, admissions service or official representative of any academic institution. Membership does not verify academic affiliation, qualifications or institutional endorsement.

Our focus is on people connecting and learning together. Any future partnerships or affiliations will be identified explicitly.
