Request for Reconsideration of SAM-Audio-Large Access for Academic Research
Dear Meta SAM-Audio team,
I am writing to respectfully request reconsideration of my access request for facebook/sam-audio-large.
My name is Tianxiang Li, and I am a senior undergraduate student majoring in Artificial Intelligence at the School of Future Technology, South China University of Technology (SCUT), China. My Hugging Face username is char12345, and I have now added and verified my official SCUT institutional email address on my Hugging Face account.
I would also like to clarify two issues with my original access request. I previously listed Zhejiang University as my affiliation because I had participated in an academic summer program at the School of Artificial Intelligence, Zhejiang University. I would like to clarify that my formal degree-granting institution is South China University of Technology (SCUT), where I am currently a senior undergraduate student.
In addition, I would also like to clarify that I access Hugging Face through a VPN due to network connectivity requirements. As a result, the IP geolocation associated with my original request may not have reflected my actual location. My country and formal academic affiliation are China and South China University of Technology, respectively.
My intended use of SAM-Audio-Large is strictly for academic research on audio and speech editing, including source separation and agent-based audio editing experiments. I intend to use the checkpoint only for local research inference and evaluation, and I will comply with the SAM license and all applicable Hugging Face and Meta requirements. I will not redistribute the model weights.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could reconsider my access request. I would also be happy to provide any additional academic or identity information required for verification.
