Organization Card

HJS Foundation

Developing open infrastructure for human judgment and AI collaboration.

HJS Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on open protocols and infrastructure for expressing, delegating, terminating, and verifying judgment across humans, organizations, software systems, and autonomous agents.

Current work

Judgment Event Protocol (JEP)

JEP is a narrow signed-event protocol for portable judgment-related events.

Its four core verbs are:

  • J — Judgment
  • D — Delegation
  • T — Termination
  • V — Verification

Current protocol line: JEP-Core 0.7 / draft-07

Explore

  • JEP Specification Explorer — understand the protocol structure and semantics
  • JEP Playground — inspect and structurally validate JEP events
  • JEP-Core 0.7 Conformance Suite — implementation and interoperability fixtures
  • JEP Research Corpus — non-normative research and scenario material
  • EU AI Act Mapping Notes — exploratory, non-normative regulatory mapping research

Principles

We focus on infrastructure that makes judgment:

explicit, attributable, verifiable, and portable.

JEP does not determine substantive truth, legal effect, authority, causality, or policy consequence. It provides a common event structure that other systems can interpret under their own trust and policy models.
