Computational Neuropathology Lab

University of Wisconsin–Madison

We develop artificial intelligence and machine-learning methods for computational neuropathology. Our research integrates digital histopathology, whole-slide imaging, spatial transcriptomics, and multimodal data to improve disease quantification, biomarker discovery, and understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders.

Research areas

  • Computational and digital neuropathology
  • Deep learning for whole-slide image analysis
  • Spatial transcriptomics and multimodal data integration
  • Interpretable AI and quantitative tissue phenotyping
  • Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body disease, and related dementias

Open science

We share models, datasets, and open-source tools that support transparent, reproducible biomedical research. Please consult each repository for documentation, licensing, intended use, and limitations.
