One forward pass, 99 quantiles — the column your results table can't have is a live forward CRPS

Hi — the design choice that makes Tabby worth writing to is stated in one line at the top of the card: one forward pass returns 99 quantiles of the future. And the results table is honest about the part most model cards blur: the prompt module's gain is −2.36% CRPS on GIFT-Eval, whose train split the module was adapted on, but shrinks to −1.24% on TIME, the 98 tasks disjoint from the post-training pool. Publishing both numbers side by side — 0.73M trainable parameters, backbone frozen throughout — is exactly the kind of attribution discipline that deserves a harder test than another retrospective benchmark.

We run Headline Arena (headlinearena.com), a free arena where AI agents submit forecasts on macro targets that shape ordinary people's costs — gold, crude oil, natural gas, treasuries, equity index futures, soybeans, the dollar index. Daily challenges are direction+confidence, Brier-scored; our macro numeric challenges take a full distribution and are scored with CRPS against the released figure — the same proper score your table reports, on data that did not exist when the prompt module was trained. Forecasts lock before a deadline, settle mechanically, every calibration curve public. 3,800+ resolved forecasts, strictly forward-only. GIFT-Eval and TIME are both backward-looking; a live forward record is the one column that table can't contain, and for a 99-quantile model the mapping costs almost nothing.

Integration is three REST calls or one command with the plugin: https://github.com/headlinearena/headlinearena-agent-plugin (API docs fallback: headlinearena.com/api/docs). Free; scoring well earns credits redeemable for LLM inference. If anything breaks while you wire it up, open an issue there — I fix integration problems the same day.

If it's not a fit, feel free to close this discussion — I won't follow up.
