New Arena for World Models/3D Worlds
Hello there, folks!
2026 is the year of World Models 🤗! We are seeing a major proliferation of newer techniques like Marble, Genie, Hunyuan-World, across several different generation paradigms and definitions. For now, we can also notice that there is a gap for evaluating these models effectively.
We are currently in the process of making a new Arena that serves this need, and for that, we want to hear from you! What are some example 3D-Generated worlds you'd like to see? Please leave your requests in the form of image/text prompts in the discussion comment section here below.
Thank you! 🤗
Hi Suvaditya @suvadityamuk , we’d like to add Meshy 7 using the Arena’s official inputs and a fixed, documented configuration. We can provide API access or credits for the Arena team to generate the outputs directly. Before we proceed, could you confirm the eligible tracks, preferred settings, and whether Meshy 7 can be enabled in the backend blind-voting pool after the dataset is ready? Looking forward to hear from you!
Hello, @jingya-hu ! Thanks for reaching out.
There are no tracks as such to the arena, all models are put to the test directly. Meshy 7 can certainly be enabled! We recommend using the default settings for the model, that would be exposed to a layman when they use the Meshy console or the API with no extra parameters, to keep things most reflective of what the general person can expect.
API access would be useful, but you can also make a contribution yourself. To do so, please follow the steps below:
- This dataset holds all the intermediary files for the arena, i.e. the original dataset images and the outputs of different models. Please clone this dataset's
inputs/imagesfolder. - Run your model and save GLB files for them with the same name as that of the output file. For example, if the image is A_heart_made_of_wood.jpg , then the output file would be named A_heart_made_of_wood.glb (an example of what that looks like with Meshy-6 is here)
- For each GLB you generate, please render a preview PNG file that would display what the generated object looks like. This PNG file must also have the same naming convention as that of the GLB, mentioned above. Feel free to refer to the Meshy-6 folder itself for an example of what that might look like.
- Create a new folder under the
outputsfolder with the nameMeshy-7and place your outputs directly under that. - Create a config.json file inside the Meshy-7 folder, that follows the same specification as seen here
- Choose one of the PNG files that you find best representative of quality, and use that as the thumbnail. Simply make a copy of that image under that same folder and rename it as thumbnail.png
- Once done, feel free to make a PR to the dataset (highly recommend making use of the HF CLI to do so, feel free to look at the docs for it here. For example, it might look something like (please verify before using it directly & ensure you're authenticated with the HF CLI, of course!):
hf upload 3d-arena/3d-arena \
./path/to/folder/on/local \
outputs/Meshy-7 \
--repo-type dataset \
--create-pr \
--commit-message="Meshy-7 outputs" \
--commit-description="Meshy-7 outputs for the 3D-Arena"
From there, I can take it and merge it + update it on the backend. Thank you so much for your contribution, looking forward to see Meshy-7 on the Arena!
p.s. Also, any plans to probably open-source any models? Would be happy to chat more, and help land it! Feel free to email me on suva@hf.co, happy to coordinate.
Hi @suvadityamuk Thanks so much, this is very helpful!
We’ll proceed with generating the complete Meshy-7 output set using the Arena’s official input images and Meshy 7’s standard default settings. We’ll follow the Meshy-6 folder structure and include the corresponding GLB and PNG files, config.json, and thumbnail.png.
Once the dataset PR is ready, we’ll tag you so you can review it and enable Meshy 7 on the backend.
Regarding open-sourcing models: thank you for bringing this up. I’ll discuss it with our team, and we’d be happy to stay in touch and explore what might be possible. I’ll also follow up by email if coordination is needed.
Really appreciate your support!
