short_description: Live data-center power index + MCP server for AI agents

⚡ DC Hub — Power Index (live demo + MCP server)

Can you actually get power to build a data center here? DC Hub scores 300+ data-center markets worldwide on power availability — a 0–100 index with a BUILD / CAUTION / AVOID verdict, average power cost, and a modeled time-to-power. Live from dchub.cloud.

The pattern: the largest established markets are power-constrained — Northern Virginia and Columbus score AVOID, Phoenix CAUTION, with Northern Virginia carrying a modeled multi-year wait for firm power — while build-ready capacity has shifted to the interior, where Cheyenne, Omaha, and Tulsa score BUILD. Try it above.

Verdicts above are examples as of 2026-09-04. They move: the index is recomputed daily, and this card is static — the app above is the live read.

🔌 Connect in 30 seconds

This Space is an MCP server (7 tools) and it is a thin bridge, not a fork — every tool here calls the same live DC Hub API the canonical server does, so nothing on this Space is a second source of truth.

If you are an agent, connect to the canonical endpoint instead: https://dchub.cloud/mcp (streamable HTTP) — 92 tools. Free: previews without a key; a free key adds 10 calls to try, 50/day with an email — see https://dchub.cloud/pricing. This Space exists for browsing, for HF Agents / smolagents, and as a zero-setup demo.

# This Space (7 tools, free)
claude mcp add --transport sse dchub-power-index https://dchubcloud-dchub.hf.space/gradio_api/mcp/sse

# Full DC Hub MCP (92 tools)
claude mcp add --transport http dchub https://dchub.cloud/mcp

Any other MCP client (Cursor, Cline, Windsurf, …):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "dchub-power-index": { "url": "https://dchubcloud-dchub.hf.space/gradio_api/mcp/sse" },
    "dchub":             { "url": "https://dchub.cloud/mcp" }
  }
}

HF Agents / smolagents:

from smolagents import CodeAgent, InferenceClientModel
from smolagents.mcp_client import MCPClient

with MCPClient({"url": "https://dchubcloud-dchub.hf.space/gradio_api/mcp/sse"}) as tools:
    agent = CodeAgent(tools=tools, model=InferenceClientModel())
    agent.run("Which U.S. market should I build a 100MW data center in?")

The 7 tools in this Space

Tool What it returns
dcpi_score DCPI verdict + score + time-to-power for one U.S. market
compare_markets Several markets ranked by power availability
grid_scoreboard Live ranked grids (fuel mix, renewable share, demand)
search_facilities Facility search across DC Hub's global facility map (corroborated count pending)
rank_markets Markets ranked by capacity, power cost, operators, speed
interconnection_queue US interconnection-queue capacity, per ISO
hyperscaler_deals Recent hyperscaler / AI-capex deals (1,600+ tracked)

Capacity Source

A live listing channel for powered land, shells and turnkey data-center capacity, including off-market sites. These tools are not in this Space's 7-tool demo — they are available on the full DC Hub MCP server at https://dchub.cloud/mcp:

  • source_capacity — search listings by deliverable size; pass target_mw to get exact fits, multi-site / multi-provider bundles, and a shortfall timeline.
  • request_capacity_intro — request a brokered intro; the operator's identity is released only on acceptance.
  • register_standing_intent with kind: "capacity" — a masked email alert when matching capacity is listed.

Browse at dchub.cloud/listings. Have capacity to offer? List it — listing is free.

Want all 92 tools?

Connect the canonical server — https://dchub.cloud/mcp — 92 tools over a global facility map (corroborated count pending; see https://dchub.cloud/api/v1/canon/phrases) in 170+ countries and 300+ markets scored, real-time grid telemetry (US ISOs + EU + GB + Taiwan + Japan + South Korea + Brazil), fiber, gas, water, tax incentives, and deal intelligence.

Tiers. Anonymous callers get previews plus 2 full answers per tool per day, no signup. Call claim_free_key for a free key (10 calls to try, 50/day once you add an email). Developer is $49/mo (500 calls/day); Pro is $99/mo (2,000/day) for the full depth. See https://dchub.cloud/pricing. Data is CC-BY-4.0 for citation.

Setup recipes, per client — Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Cline, Windsurf, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, and DeepSeek Harness (@deepseek-ai/dsh-mcp-client, streamable HTTP):

DeepSeek note. DeepSeek's consumer chat has no MCP UI. Use the DeepSeek Harness, Cursor pointed at a DeepSeek model, or the tool-calling API with DC Hub behind an MCP bridge: dchub.cloud/connect/deepseek-harness.

On the numbers (read from canon 2026-09-18). Counts on this card are DC Hub's published citation-safe floors — they round DOWN from the live measurement and are never above it. The app above renders them live from /api/v1/canon/phrases; this card is static, so treat that endpoint as the source of truth.
