# Trackio interface experiments

Four public, read-only interface concepts consume the live data in this Space. They share the same API client, metric definitions, run colors, numeric formatting, URL state, and 30-second refresh cycle so the comparison focuses on information architecture and presentation.

## Design review

Scores are a first-pass design review on a 1–5 scale, where higher is stronger. “Simplicity” scores the ease of maintaining the concept rather than the number of features. Desktop and 390 px mobile captures used the same project and selected runs.

### Recommendation

Use **Command Center** as the base for a production training-operations interface. It exposes outcome, throughput, timing, and queue signals simultaneously and requires the fewest navigation steps during a live run.

For a follow-up iteration, keep its status strip and system rail, then add:

- Chart Wall's metric-group tabs for focused exploration.
- Diagnostics' explicit focus-versus-baseline workflow as a drill-down view.
- Pulse's run-progress header and compact mobile cards.

## Validation

- All four Spaces load the canonical project and its three current runs without browser console errors.
- Run selection updates the shared `run_ids` URL state.
- Chart metric-group switching updates both visible metrics and `metric_group` URL state.
- All four layouts have no document-level horizontal overflow at 390 px.
- The frontends call only Trackio read endpoints; no mutation controls are exposed.
