World Simulator is a Hugging Face organization for experiments that model, simulate and explore complex systems — from cities, economies and societies to environments, autonomous agents and entirely synthetic worlds.
The goal is not to predict one fixed future.
The goal is to build tools that let people explore many possible futures.
World Simulator explores how artificial intelligence can help us create interactive representations of complex worlds.
We are interested in systems where users can change assumptions, introduce events, observe consequences and compare alternative scenarios.
A World Simulator project might answer questions such as:
The organization is designed as an experimental home for these ideas.
Representations of environments that allow AI systems to understand states, dynamics, relationships and possible future states.
Experiments with autonomous or semi-autonomous agents interacting with each other, rules, environments and changing conditions.
Interactive simulations of urban systems, demographics, infrastructure, mobility, communities and social dynamics.
Scenario tools for markets, resources, networks, supply chains and other interconnected systems.
Explorations involving climate, energy, ecosystems, geography and long-term environmental change.
Artificial environments generated specifically for experimentation, training, storytelling and AI research.
Tools for exploring multiple possible futures rather than presenting a single prediction.
This organization can host:
| Type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Spaces | Interactive simulations, scenario explorers and visual experiments |
| Models | Models useful for world modeling, agents and simulation |
| Datasets | Structured data for environments, systems and synthetic worlds |
| Benchmarks | Experiments for evaluating reasoning inside simulated environments |
| Prototypes | Early ideas exploring new forms of human–AI interaction |
Change an assumption. Run the world. Observe what changes.
The most interesting simulations are not static dashboards.
They are systems that invite exploration.
A useful World Simulator should make it possible to move from:
question → assumption → simulation → consequence → comparison → insight

NEW QUESTIONS
World simulation sits at the intersection of data, generative AI, agentic systems, visualization and human imagination.
Projects may explore ideas such as:
City Simulator — experiment with population, mobility, housing and infrastructure.
Society Simulator — model interactions between different autonomous agents and social structures.
Economy Simulator — explore hypothetical economic systems and changing parameters.
Earth Simulator — visualize interconnected environmental and geographic scenarios.
History Simulator — explore counterfactual timelines and alternative historical scenarios.
Future Simulator — generate and compare plausible future worlds.
Agent World — create persistent environments populated by AI agents.
Synthetic Civilization — experiment with emerging societies inside artificial environments.
World Simulator is intentionally broad.
The organization is not limited to one model, one simulation engine or one definition of a “world.”
A world can be:
If it has states, rules, actors and change over time, it can potentially be simulated.
Simulated outputs should not automatically be treated as forecasts or facts.
Complex systems contain uncertainty, incomplete information and assumptions that strongly influence outcomes. Projects published here should make those assumptions visible whenever possible.
The purpose of simulation is often not to say “this will happen.”
It is to ask:
“What could happen if these assumptions were true?”

Experiments may be incomplete, speculative or research-oriented.
Individual repositories should document their own data sources, methods, limitations and licenses.
