| # Optional CUDA build-field pass | |
| This DLL is not the Unreal renderer. Unreal renders the world through DX12, Nanite, Lumen, and hardware ray tracing when the project is run on a supported configuration. The DLL provides a small GPU compute pass for repository build-field weights and is loaded dynamically by `FGitWorldCudaBridge`. | |
| Build from a Visual Studio Developer Command Prompt with the CUDA toolkit installed: | |
| ```text | |
| cmake -S Compute -B Compute/build -G "Visual Studio 17 2022" -A x64 | |
| cmake --build Compute/build --config Release | |
| ``` | |
| Copy `Compute/build/Release/GitWorldCuda.dll` into `Binaries/Win64/`, or set `GITWORLD_CUDA_DLL` to an absolute path before launching Unreal. If the DLL is absent or the device pass fails, the world remains playable using the deterministic CPU fallback. | |
