patdev/linux-desktop bucket layout

This bucket is the persistent source of truth for the Linux Desktop Space.

Canonical system tree

• /system/active.json — selected runtime release and artifact versions.
• /system/runtime/ACTIVE — hot-reload application release.
• /system/runtime/releases/<release>/ — versioned application/runtime files.
• /system/artifacts/linux-amd64/<component>/<version>/ — immutable compiled/runtime bundles plus manifest.json and SHA-256.
• /system/boot/LAST_BOOT.json — last bootstrap state written by the Space.
• /system/schema.json — bucket layout schema.

Persistent data

New persistent data is grouped under /state, /models, /cache and /workspaces. Legacy top-level paths are retained during migration so existing browser/model sessions are not destroyed.

Deployment rule

The Space Docker image is a stable OS/bootstrap layer. Model runtimes and mutable application code are selected from this bucket. vLLM is restored lazily when its profile is selected.
