Open Quantum Challenge (OQC)
A vendor-neutral, fully reproducible quantum benchmark challenge. Enter with just a GPU and the open harness — no quantum hardware required. Answers are held privately and every submission is auto-scored against a frozen ground truth.
- Season 1 — Quantum Simulation (Fermi-Hubbard ground-state energy). Opens 2026-10-11, deadline 2027-02-28.
- Season 2 — QEC Decoder (rotated surface code d=5, p=0.005, logical error rate). Opens 2026-10-11, deadline 2027-03-31.
- Prize: $1,000 per season (🥇600 / 🥈300 / 🥉100).

Architecture (mirrors the Open Discovery Challenge)
Thin intake service. Submissions land in a private ledger dataset (FINAL-Bench/oqc-ledger); a GPU-side
worker polls it, scores each entry against the private key, and writes the rolled-up leaderboard back.
Set the Space secret HF_TOKEN (write access to the ledger). Optionally set OAUTH_CLIENT_ID /
OAUTH_CLIENT_SECRET (hf_oauth: true) to require Hugging Face sign-in.
