| # Open Quantum Challenge (OQC)
|

| A vendor-neutral, fully reproducible quantum benchmark challenge. Enter with **just a GPU and the open
|
| harness — no quantum hardware required.** Answers are held privately and every submission is auto-scored
|
| against a frozen ground truth.
|
|
|
| - **Season 1 — Quantum Simulation** (Fermi-Hubbard ground-state energy). Opens 2026-10-11, deadline 2027-02-28.
|
| - **Season 2 — QEC Decoder** (rotated surface code d=5, p=0.005, logical error rate). Opens 2026-10-11, deadline 2027-03-31.
|
| - Prize: $1,000 per season (🥇600 / 🥈300 / 🥉100).
|

| ## Architecture (mirrors the Open Discovery Challenge)
|
| Thin intake service. Submissions land in a private ledger dataset (`FINAL-Bench/oqc-ledger`); a GPU-side
|
| worker polls it, scores each entry against the private key, and writes the rolled-up leaderboard back.
|
| Set the Space secret `HF_TOKEN` (write access to the ledger). Optionally set `OAUTH_CLIENT_ID` /
|
| `OAUTH_CLIENT_SECRET` (`hf_oauth: true`) to require Hugging Face sign-in.
