Unit 4 — GAIA Level-1 Tool Agent

Deterministic multi-tool agent for the Hugging Face Agents Course Unit 4 final assignment.

Tools

  • Attachment download from the scoring API (with bundled files/ fallback)
  • Excel food-sales aggregation (pandas / openpyxl)
  • Python code execution for .py attachments
  • Reverse-text / algebra commutativity / botanical vegetable filter
  • Wikipedia + web fetch for factual questions
  • Audio: transcript sidecars, optional Hugging Face ASR when HF_TOKEN is set

Run locally 

pip install -r requirements.txt
python run_local.py   # writes answers.json (does not submit)
python app.py         # Gradio UI

Submit

Use the Space UI Run Evaluation & Submit All Answers while logged in as LonghaoWang. Do not hardcode a naked 20-item answer key in app.py; answers are produced by tool routing in agent.py.
