Optional backup and restore

Use the official esptool. Replace PORT with your badge's serial port. With the original summit app, connect USB and hold rear SHARE until solid blue, then release.

Keep the 4,194,304-byte backup privately. It can include photos, contacts, and settings. For an independent check, read again to a different filename and compare SHA-256 hashes. Return to solid-blue mode again before using the browser flasher.

To restore your own backup to the same badge:

python -m esptool --chip esp32c3 --port PORT --baud 460800 --before usb-reset --after hard-reset write-flash 0x0 original-badge.bin

The native flower app keeps USB awake and does not need the solid-blue sequence. These commands do not write eFuses. See the official command reference.
